I made a beautiful portfolio website, but when I google my name, it doesn't show up. How can I make sure it will show up when people search for my name? thanks

Smells like teen spam.

Nice expression. There are no links, so I'll let it untouched. But it is for sure quite simplistic wisdom, and unimportant to the question.

When I Google "my name Adobe Stock", my Adobe portfolio comes up right away; however I have an unusual name and as far as I know there are only 1 or 2 people with my exact name. If you have a common name, perhaps the results do not appear on the first page of Google results. If you just created the page, it might take a bit of time (hours or days?) before indexing has occurred.

And who on earth tries to find something on Google, when you have to type an unusual name? You will do, when you know the artist (from stock) and you want to get more of his/her stuff. But otherwise, you just search for "Water" and you take the first picture that fits.

BTW: If you enter the search data very precisely (with operators, quotes etc) you'll find most of the data, you're looking for.

You're right. It's very unlikely that anyone will ever search for a Portfolio by artist's name; maybe only a friend or family member 🙂

Short answer:  Buy Google Ads.

Everyone on the planet wants to be on page 1 of Google search results. Unfortunately, you're competing with over a billion other websites.

Read the Google SEO Starter guide.

Good luck.

Contributor? I will move this to the contributor forum.

You need to understand the way google works. Google indexes Adobe stock probably quite well, but is indifferent for your portfolio. If you can let Google know that your portfolio is special against all the other portfolios, Google will show it prominently. To do so, you need to have many links pointing to your portfolio and the links need to be from highly regarded sites.

I suppose for a portfolio with a hundred pictures, this is unreachable.
