Can someone explain what qualifies as 'Illustrative Editorial content'? I want to ensure I'm selecting this option correctly when uploading my work. Are there specific guidelines or examples to determine when this applies? Any help would be appreciated!

In addition to reading the User Manual and help pages, press the small i adjacent to the Illustrative Editorial label which provides quick access to the necessary info.

Post the image here and we'll tell you if it's Illustrative Editorial or not.

Illustrative Editorial is for content that contains brands that cannot be used commercially.  All such content is restricted to editorial use only in journalism, blogs, news stories & commentaries.

In general, I recommend that you check the whole contributor manual, including the rules for illustrative editorial assets. Just to say, illustrtaive editorial should not be considered for circumventing the the IP rules, to make up for a missing property release.
