Images Pending Review for 7 Months

Title pretty much says it all, I have a number of photos I have uploaded that have been pending review for as many as 7 months. Any reason why this might be happening? Is there anything I can do?

I know the feeling. I also have images that have been pending review for 7 months, whilst I have others that get reviewed within a day or two????
