What do you guys think that a user must have these much images in their portfolio, so they can earn a stable income of minimum of $500/month?

Hi,

That depends on many factors. As Jill pointed out you have to have many Images in your portfolio, the Images must be of good quality and hopefully many people want those Images. Keep in mind that companies often look for images to advertise their products and services, advertising campaigns or articles should be supported with images, etc. This means that images should be used as widely as possible so that they can be found and sold as often as possible.
It is hard to say how much you need, because its an ongoing process and you will produce good Images in a regular basis in order to keep up with the demand. Hope that helps a bit.

You always have those theoretical questions. I guess that $500/month would be generated with around 650-800 sales/month.

You should check that with your sales now, and with the number of assets that you have currently. I would guess that the development is not linear, but that more assets will lead to much more sales. But for the exercise, you can just interpolate linearly.

I understood you guys. I just wanna ask that if I upload daily how much I should upload that's reasonable. By the way @Abambo, Do you always look at recent posts of the person you are answering to, or you just remember me? It would be very difficult as you answer many people. I am just curious. 😊

There are people who are remembered. I have a relatively good memory about people asking strange questions. I'm not always right. Your screen name is quite unique. Others have a unique avatar. But you are right, I'm just also looking into the historic participation of someone.

What you also could do is to look at current top sellers. You will see what type of assets are selling. And you will know how many assets they have. And if you watch then the fora here, you will also know, that occasionally one or the other top sellers was fraudulently entering into that list.

There is no set or estimated volume to earn $500/month. In addition to volume, your earnings depends greatly on demand, quality and keywording - with the greatest emphasis on demand which is highly unpredictable since this varies. 

Therefore, no one can say.

It is one of those questions that cannot be answered. Some earn well with a small excellent portfolio of in-demand images, others require thousands of images and still others earn very little regardless of whether they have a few or 10,000+ images.

You're correct, but it's like a supermarket. The more diverse pictures you have, the more pictures your sell. Even if you have flowers only in your portfolio, the more flower pictures you have the better your sales are. But having assets of high demand helps to boost your sales compared to flowers, which sell well, but where a lot of contributors contribute.
