Picture rejected because of quality issues

Community Beginner ,
Jan 11, 2024 Jan 11, 2024

Hi there
It's not the first time it's happening to my uploads and i would like to understand why.
This picture (and a lot of others) have been rejected under the pretext that the quality is not good enough...
I would like to understand what's wrong with the quality of this picture taking in consideration that this is an illustration and not a real photo.
Any clues?

Thanks in advance

A nice picture, but obviously, there are no waves under water:

Abambo_0-1705012228701.png

You have drawing errors:

Any of these could have triggered the quality issues.

Just a quick look reveals that the beam atop the columns has poorly drawn details. The columns are also inconsistent in the design details. Though there is no expectation that such an illustration be "photo-realistic", there is an expectation that the drawing details are consistent and properly drawn, such as no incomplete lines or lines out of place.

This is obviously a Generative AI image.

AI can't replace real artists.  It makes too many mistakes.  And it's too stupid to know what mistakes it makes to correct them.  That's the contributor's job.

Closely examine every quadrant of every image at 100-300% magnification and correct all defects if you can.  If not, discard the image and start over or cut it up for use select parts in other projects.

From where I sit as a Stock customer, I'm fatigued by so-called AI artwork.  It looks fake.  There's too much of it and while some of it is truly excellent, the majority is nothing I would ever purchase for use in a commercial project.  I think it's harder to do than most people realize and an even tougher sale.  That's just my 2 cents, BTW.  Others here may disagree.

Good luck.

@Nancy OSheaYou do realize there is a box to thick, so you won't see the AI images on the adobe page?

So you won't get fatigued by so-called AI artwork. "Expert" should know that.

Also. Have you seen the latest additions to the adobe stock AI images library? News flash, every AI image has "mistakes".

And it looks like adobe is ok with that.

@Svetlana28639737zwpi,

I am indeed aware that I can filter out AI from Adobe Stock searches.  But everywhere I go on the Internet these days, I'm inundated by AI.  Most of it is used for all the wrong reasons (fake news on social media).

When Stock first started accepting AI, they didn't scrutinize images to the same extent they do now. Reviewers have been schooled on what to look for.   😊

If you see bad AI images in Stock inventory, you should report the image ID to Stock so they can take appropriate action.

@Nancy OShea  You want me to report bad (technically) AI images in adobe stock library?

No problem. First you need to suggest to adobe to implement the option "select all". Like in the mobile phones gallery. Because all AI images have problems. Some clearly visible some not so much.

And where is the "report" button?

There is way too much AI stuff - smartphone cameras used to be a thing, but now it's 'AI'!

What next?!

@Patrick33865737usku  Your image was not rejected due to the details being wrongly "drawn" or the fact that there are no waves under the water.

The "theme" of your image is obvious so if someone expect "realism" in a cartoon setting. Well, we would never see a talking spunge or a squirel in a space suit, under water. Would we? 😉

Most likely the reason is the overall "softness". Don't know what upscaler you are using, but some of them has the tendency to blur the lines. That might trigger the reviewer.

Thanks @Svetlana28639737zwpi  for your input. I am using MIdjourney for the AI part, then photoshop for corrections  like color and strange stuffs and then Stable diffusion for the upscale (ESRAGAN_4X upscaller).
Have a nice day.

Having a second look at the image, it seems to me that the splashes are OK, as the construction looks like a gate. there is a world before and a world behind.

But I have found a different problem: IMG_1763.jpeg

The hais to the left is aligned, but part of the beard looks detached.

I have to say that the "soft" look did not disturb me.

Thanks eveyone for your advices and comments.
Off course it's an Ai creation. Ifd i had to draw this on my cintiq i wouldn't try to sell it here because of the hours spent on a piece like this.
The goal of such images is to help artists and designers in their concepts processes. I work in the game industry and there is a lack of specific content like this one on Adobe Stock. I just wanted to bring new content but unfortunatly it is becoming harder to get approved (and by the way, there is a lot of junk on Adobe Stock and i am interested to understand why sometimes it's ok and why sometimes it is not)
Anyway, thanks for your help!

It's getting harder, as moderators get better at detecting generative AI specific errors. Unfortunately, a lot of scrap has been accepted and some of that scrap is even selling and then getting reported. Those reports, which are costly to both the customers and to Adobe stock, lead to an increased scrutinity to generative AI. It's just a fact, that some moderators are better than others, or, if you want more stringent than others.

(BTW: I like your asset, and compared to others that we see here, it is original and nicely executed, unfortunately with some flaws.)

A big flaw with AI-generated images is that shirts and jackets are always full of weird folds and wrinkles and the fit isn't right.
