Poor photo quality

Hi, I don't know what's wrong with this photo. It wasn't approved due to quality.

Hello,

I think the contrast could be strengthened a tad, you should try to make the image 'pop' a bit more.

However, from the EXIF data, you used 105mm at f 5.6, which is quite shallow at this focal length.

Due to that, you cannot see the proboscis clearly - it's out of focus - and beneath the butterfly. I feel that these should be in focus - especially if used in a nature magazine.

Exposure and noise. You should tweak your exposure, so that the histogram is equilibrated and reduce the midtones. And you should also reduce the noise and eventually chromatic aberration. I'm not sure about this, however.
