Rejected for some strange reason

Hi,

I read complaints on another forum that, in addition to the long waiting time, many more photos are rejected. That is also the case with me. I can accept that Adobe have become stricter with checking.

But I also have a photo of a tower, two photos of  bridges in the Dutch city of Middelburg, and a windmill in the city of Veere, which were rejected because the photos resemble photos I've already submitted. While these are the only photos. I was even in those cities for the first time in my life!!!

The first and last two photos in the overview of rejected photos. I have read this complaint before. How is this possible?

Are you talking about similar photos? Similar also means what is in the database, and not only in your collection.

That's not what they write in the rejection:

However, during our check, we found that it resembles one or more other images you've already uploaded. Therefore, we cannot include this image in our collection.

I've looked. There are some pictures of the windmill in Veere, which are somewhat similar. There are no similar photos of the tower and two bridges in Middelbug.

It also means what is in the collection.

The wording really needs to be changed!

Yes, that's not what the message says, but Adobe have confirmed it also means existing photos by others.

Then they should change the sentence. Now it's just annoying. But then there are still at least three photos, of which there are no similar photos at all.
So I still wonder why it is there. Maybe the reviewer pressed the wrong button.

Yes, the message is misleading; and it is possible that the Moderator has chosen the wrong reject code. If you believe your image is unique and of acceptable quality, I would suggest editing it just slightly and re-uploading by itself.

So far I have always accepted disapprovals from Adobe. Now that there are more than before, I think that when the waiting times are back to normal, I will re-enter some photos. So not now. It's just frustrating to wait days to find out they've been rejected after all.

I won't whine about it any further. But I took a closer look at my latest rejections and saw that similar was also a reason for some of my insect photos. I looked up two on Adobestock and found no similars. I think something has gone wrong lately. Perhaps due to the extra workload, which the AI ​​gives.

Try submitting them one at a time. Perhaps all bugs look the same to the Moderators.

I have re-uploaded the photo of the mill and it is now accepted. Then I uploaded two more of the photos a week ago. I just don't know if that's wise now that accounts are suddenly blocked. 🙂

Yes, given the rash of accounts blocked recently, I would be very cautious about re-uploading previously rejected assets for now. Send new content.

Yes, but I didn't know that a week ago. I thought about it again and have now deleted the two files. It's not worth the misery. But actually it's weird that you do this kind of thing out of fear for Adobe.

The rash of blocked accounts has certainly struck fear into the minds of "AI spammers" - and rightly so. But those of us long-standing, rule-abiding traditional Contributors shouldn't have to second-guess every move we make also...
