Hello.

Some of my image were rejected as «NON-COMPLIANT IMAGE».

What Does it mean?

What needs to change to resubmit?

Thank you.

Correct answer Nancy OShea

Sorry to have to say that, but you need to read what I wrote. And indeed you did ask: What needs to change to resubmit?

You need to address all the faults.

Thank you for your replay, but:
— you wrote about the Light Glow Effect. This one is not a technical problem, it is the effect.

No, I did not write about the glow effect. At least not directly. But I was talking about the jigsaw effect introduced.

No one talked about clipping. I said “missing”.  “Missing blacks”. You see it in your histogram to the left. And I said there is noise in the background.

— and finally. Reject was for «Non-compliant» reasons. «Technical issue» is another chapter.

I did address the non-compliant issue. But I can't comment on what I do not see: “Non-compliant” means, generally, that you did not respect the rules. There may be indeed a problem with the marking or the keywords, that I can't see.

You will get only one refusal reason, and it's the first that a moderator sees, as they do not continue to check further then. But there may be multiple different reasons to reject the asset. Quality is one possible rejection for this asset.

@Merry_Dream15B9,

"If you get a reminder to provide or resolve a problem with a release and you resubmit the file without addressing the issue, we’ll reject it as noncompliant."

"Effects:

Don’t: Add sunrays or flares.

Don’t: Create mirrored images, kaleidoscopes, or patterns.

Don’t: Use effect filters.

Don’t: Add vignettes or frames."

Hope that helps.

“Non-compliant” means, generally, that you did not respect the rules. There may be indeed a problem with the marking or the keywords, that I can't see. But I see quality issues with your asset, like noise in the background, or artefacts in the diamonds. Just a small excerpt:

In addition, I had a look into the histogram, and saw missing blacks:

I would have expected to have this asset refused on the grounds of quality issues.

Thank you for your replay, but:
— you wrote about the Light Glow Effect. This one is not a technical problem, it is the effect.
— also there is no clipping pixel

clipping warnings are on
— and finally. Reject was for «Non-compliant» reasons. «Technical issue» is another chapter.

In any case, thanks for your response

Non compliance can mean that it was not marked as an image or AI. It can also mean that the keywords are not ok.
