Stock photo review time

Hi,

Is this normal for photos to be stuck in review for over 16 days now? Videos that I uploaded a couple days after the photos got reviewed and accepted. Do I need to reupload my photos or is something else wrong? No AI content was uploaded

Unfortunately, it seems that the review queue for photographs has grown longer, probably due to the fact that Adobe now allows AI Contributors to submit photo-realistic AI assets as Photographs rather than Illustrations, a decision with which I disagree - but they didn't ask me 🙂

This is the norm these day, and I think it will improve in time. While I've had some luck with getting images accepted on a daily while at least every other day, it took a few months before this started happening on a more regular basis. The key is, upload a few images every day (up to your max if you haven't reached your limit), and reviews will pick up. What you don't to do is upload, wait for reviews, and then upload again.

I think this is an issue that needs addressing, and quickly, as 'up to 4 weeks' is unreasonable. My current lot are at 20 days in review. Have another pathway for A1 images, Adobe. Contributors will look elsewhere.

You can expect waits of 2 months or more for Generative AI assets, and less for other asset types. Adobe has addressed the issue by implementing a cap on the number of assets that any individual account can have under review, banning accounts that have noncompliant assets, and other measures to encourage Contributors to submit only their best assets rather than spamming the Adobe Stock system with similars and poor quality assets. But still the flow remains unabated.

You are welcome to try your luck at other agencies while waiting for your assets to be reviewed/approved on Adobe.

AI contributors are SUPPOSED to select Illustrations rather than Photographs, but I don't think anything is in place to police that if people do otherwise.

Read the top pinned post in this forum from Mat Hayward.

This one:

"It is VERY important you continue to select the "created using generative AI tools" checkbox and that you submit your generative AI content as an illustration. Let me know if you have any questions."

In any case, I'll stick with tagging my AI images as Illustrations. 🙂 Thanks, Jill.
