TECHNICAL ISSUES reject for photo

Hi guys,

Could you help me understand why this picture was rejected with a description: Unfortunately, during our review, we found that it contains one or more technical issues, so we can't accept it into our collection.

Picture rejected - TECHNICAL ISSUES.  This means that more than one problem exists in the picture. This also means your handling of the photo somehow did not conform with Adobe Guidelines.  Color is an important one, focus, and contrast, as well as general interest and quality, are not up to standard. Sorry, you are upset with the reply but, of course, you can ignore it. Better if you discover how to present an excellent photograph and have it accepted. Then we will all be happy. rickey336 is saying much the same things and he offers some professional hints to help your next stock offering. Best regards, JH

The photo is not good enough for Adobe Stock. Not only is it flat and little or no depth or interesting contrast, only a bit of the center is in-focus, the rest is blurred. This might have been deliberate for effect but it will not sell on Adobe. Your photo is rather like an amateur snapshot and not sharp enough for this market.

Please, go to  Adobe information and Guidelines for beginner stock contributors and read and read and then look at your work presented here. Then go to Adobe Stock and look and look and look at the samples and quality. Then, select your best and submit it to see if it can qualify.

I am sorry to give you the sad news but there is always hope. Full color would be better too. If it were mine I would crop the center fir cones and color them naturally and put them against a flat beautiful color so someone might buy it to put in their own Christmas or Holiday artwork. Thanks, Joan for your personal opinion and emotional feeling about my picture. I appreciate that. Just right after your suggestion, I put in a search of Adobe Stock - "cone" and come on ), you seriously want to say those pictures much better than this one? ))))

I would try to do it with the original color, but this photo all about the color, it makes special forest mood for me. I don't insist everybody will be able to cover it )

Anyway, unfortunately, you didn't even touch the point of my question what kind of technical issue with the picture? The reason of rejection was about the technical issue.

Hi VicNoon, - I think the issue here is with the colour - that would come under technical reasons. It is best to submit in original colour rather than give it special treatment. Customers can create their own special way of interpreting the photo - it gives them a choice, but if you sell this as it is, it actually does limit who will buy it. So, best rule of thumb - submit in original colour and be careful not to oversaturate, keep in mind contrast and be careful of chromatic aberration and white balance. These all come under technical reasons.
