Technical issues- Rejection

I have following images which have been rejected due to technical issues. I am trying to learn the reasons and how improve. I would greatly appreciate your inputs/comments on these pictiures.

1) blown out highlights in the sky and there is a sharp horizontal line across the sky 

2) nothing is in sharp focus

3) soft focus and chromatic aberration 

4) soft focus and halos along the edges of th bridge pylons

1236:

Look at the water, and you will see editing artefacts.

This and the horizontal clouds line let me think of bad editing skills. In addition, the picture is not sharp, the histogram is missing blacks and whites

 

. nb: The people also would make trouble if the picture had been sharp.

1257: has basically sharpness problems.

1237: shares the troubles with 1236: missing sharpness, histogram, trouble with the water, people.

1263: Except that the framing is better, that picture shares the defects of 1257.

Photo 1: not horizontal. Too dull and too soft. Birds in sky need to be removed.

Spice your photo up a little. I think this is an improvement.
