The exposure could also be better, as well as composition.

Have a read of this from Adobe about how to create better photos:

Also, the blues and greens are oversaturated and the branch on the left edge, which has a halo, must be removed.

Both photos have blown out highlights (highlighted in red). Details are missing in the shadows and desaturated areas and color errors are visible.
