I know there are limits of 50-51 for new users, and then it can go up to 501, but I was wondering how many submissions can you have in review at once.

I know it isn't the same for everyone, and I know it depends on many factors, but wanting to know what I can expect at some point in the future.

If 500 is the max for all, then I will approach things differently than if there are higher max levels available eventually.

Thanks

We know there is also a max level of 3001.

Bottom line, though, it really doesn't matter what your limit is. Let's say your limit is 51. You've submitted 51 for review and you have 100 images that have been titled and keyworded and are ready for submission. It is extremely unlikely that those 51 images will all be reviewed and accepted/rejected at one and the same time. It's usually like 7 one day, a dozen or two the next, then 12 or so after that. So if you have 7 of the 51 accepted, then you

There's no limit to how many you can have in review IF you have more than a limit of 51. At 501, you can have 501 under review. We suspect...and we only suspect...that one's limit will be raised once they've sold a total of 51 images.

So 501 is the max? Or are there levels above that?

501 is not the max. I think the current max is at 3000. There is a secret magic formula that determines, how many assets yo can have waiting for moderation.  if you are submitting a lot, I would submit in such a way, that I would rarely touch the maximum. (Obviously, you need to probe the maximum, as you will never know, when you got upgraded to the next level.).

If you are submitting as this, you will have regular moderation results.

So if you have 7 of the 51 accepted, then you can upload 7 more for submission. Again, it doesn't matter what your limit is...someone like myself at 501 is not going to have all 501 images reviewed at once.

It does matter, as whatever the current turnaround times are (4-5 weeks as I type this), knowing I will have 500 reviewed within 4-5 weeks, vs 2000 reviewed in the same timeframe, matters for my workflow in having images ready to submit when others are approved.

If I'm understanding your post, you don't know if you'll have 500 images reviewed in 5 weeks time. That would be an average of  20 images reviewed every working day over a 5 week period. And that would be highly unusual. Yesterday I had 24 reviewed and accepted. Today I had 4. Tomorrow I may not have any. I have just over 200 images still waiting to be reviewed, while I have about two dozen waiting to be titled and keyworded. Meanwhile, I'm editing new images in preparation for uploading them to the New tab to add to my two dozen. Of course, I'm only speaking here from personal experience. It may be different for people who have been submitting images for years but I don't think so.
