Waiting for approval...

Hi guys! I've submitted a series of AI generated images (in the Illustration category) to Adobe Stock. Unfortunately I have been waiting for 9 days for the approval. Is it normal?

Due to the huge influx of AI assets, many of them from contributors who are uploading hundreds, or even thousands, at a time, the queue has grown to 1-2 months. There's nothing you can do to hasten the process, except be patient,

9 days isn't long.  It could take 1  - 2 months for your AI assets to be reviewed.

For faster turnarounds, submit more photos or vector artwork.  Focus on quality instead of quantity. 😉

Slowly but surely, I think AI contributors are starting to realize there's no "gold in them thar hills."

Especially since AI artwork can't be copyright protected in US, Germany, France, etc...  Until a human creates something unique with it, anybody can take AI and use it if they have a mind to.

Thank you for the reply. Do you think Adobe Stock will do something to limit wait times in the future? At the moment these huge waiting times are not at all suitable for image producers.

Only if you produce seasonal assets. In all other cases, you have a long waiting time, but that's all. And yes, as long as they are not in the database, you can't sell. But if you contribute regularly, at some point, your assets will be starting to get moderated one by one. Expect 2 months of waiting time.

When you hit the upload limit, you will need to pause, until some of your assets got moderated.

The problem is that some of your peers have submitted thousands of generative AI assets. As Adobe cannot add moderators at the same pace, moderation waiting time expands.

I don't see that Adobe will do anything to speed up the AI submission time, except to reduce the number of submissions, and perhaps prioritise those who are making work that sells well. Everything is reviewed by people; they won't reduce the checking (it needed to increase very much), and I doubt they want to pay for hundreds of extra people just because submitting AI is popular...
