Can't Open AI Files in CorelDraw

Greetings, downloaded two AI files from Adobestock and can't open either one of them in CorelDraw (X7).

I have never had this problem before but am now being told there is a problem reading the file.  Trying to importing either as an EPS does not work either.

All assistance vastly appreciated. I am running Windows 10 BTW..

Many of the .ai files done in newer versions of Illustrator can only be opened in Illustrator. Corel does not support those files.

Which versions of Illustrator onwards does Corel not support? Can you provide any more info than just "newer versions"?

I would ask this question in a Corel forum, not in an Adobe forum. Adobe has no influence on whet Corel supports, even that they have an interest that Corel does not support the newer Illustrator formats. But I doubt that Adobe is actively hindering third parties to develop Illustrator readers.

I don't know, when I have used Corel Draw the last time, but I normally used PDF files or EPS files. Adobe Illustrator supports embedding a PDF preview, that is used by other programs, like InDesign, to embed or link Illustrator files. Unfortunately, when licensing an asset, you do not see the Illustrator version and if a PDF or EPS file is embedded.
