Can't Open or import many ai/eps files

I'm having an issue with some ai/eps files not opening or importing into Corel Draw Home & Student X7. I can import and open some files, but not all. I get an error message on more than 80% of the ones I try to use. I've upgraded to this version specifically so I can use my Adobe Stock membership fully and finding this frustrating.

    Could you please share the file ID which you are referring to? Also, please let me know if you have tried opening the file in Illustrator CC.
