If you search for "Confederate flag", you will find more than 6,000 matches. The flag, in and of itself, is not a symbol of hate. It's an historical relic.

In a similar vein, you can also find thousands of images of Auchwitz or Buchenwald or many other concentration camps. They are of historical interest.

This is not a historical image, it's something someone crafted anew. & it is absolutely, a symbol of hatred. Images of the camps, they are real images of somethings with historical context. This is a symbol of hate that someone digitally created. It's Confederate fanart.

If someone happens to have a Confederate flag at home and photographs and uploads it, is that a symbol of hate? I agree that using Confederate flags in some contexts can be construed as hateful, such as the flags that were waved around inside the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6th; however an image is not necessarily hateful.
