Inappropriate (potentially illegal?) stock photos of minors in searches

I searched 'teen' in images for a project. There are a lot of highly questionable images that come up as a result. Does anyone screen these photos? It's very uncomfortable.

All assets are screened by human moderators for compliance with Adobe's guidelines and standards. It's possible that something that makes you uncomfortable didn't catch the attention of the moderator. If you come across any images that you think are exploitive, you can report the asset numbers here and an Adobe rep will ask the moderation team to take another look.

Most of the photos seem to be coming from a specific account:

I glanced at the first 2 pages and see women in swimsuits and some nudity, but none that violate Adobe's standards for nudity. If you've come across specific images that are pornographic or suggestive, Adobe will look into those, but at a glance I don't see a need to investigate the entire account which contains 10,000 images.

While you are right that there is not nudity, this photo is tagged as a teenager and it is extremely suggestive, especially considering her age.

An 18-year-old girl is a teenager!

I won't comment on the images specifically. But as a general rule: for nudes, even partially and body parts, where no face is visible, Adobe requires a model release and proof of age.

I do think these pictures are inappropriate considering they are tagged as teenagers. I don't really understand why this isn't being taken seriously, not all of the pictures might be suggestive but some are and for teenagers to be shown like this in these stock pictures is quite concerning.

I am not an Adobe employee, and it is not up to me to decide whether those specific images need to be reviewed.

That is fair, but I'm not sure why you felt the need to say it's not necessary if it's not up to you. You mentioned that the OP would need to post the offending account so an Adobe rep could review, when they did, you said you didn't see anything of concern. So while I appreciate you offering guidance, it seems as though this is in Adobe's hands now.

Anyone can come here to provide their own opinion. I did so after looking at the first 2 pages. I did not comment in the 2 posted examples. There may be other images that are questionable, but I'm not going to spend more time looking. It's up to Adobe to decide whether the images reported above comply with their guidelines.

I will tag @EvilBug1 so that she can chime in and comment. Meanwhile, and to content this discussion, I will lock the thread.

We can't simply speculate if the young women in those pictures are underage or not. This information is in Adobe's hands and only Adobe can decide on this.

Thank you for sharing this. These images are extremely concerning. While I understand that they may have been overlooked, I hope someone takes this seriously moving forward because it's unacceptable to have these images available in the database.
