Hello,
I've just gone onto the following discount code page which is advertising 95% off?
https://photutorial.com/adobe-stock-discounts/
Adobe Stock Discounts - 95% Off - Verified October 2022
Feels a bit misleading. I've spoken to the person who owns the website and they were very rude. Bascially they tried pretending that the standard discount you get when purcahsing higher subscrition plans is exclusive to their site.
It looks like they have affiliate links so obviously earning money by tricking people.
Thanks,
John

Your post is incorrect. The very first thing it says on that web page is "Warning: Adobe Stock does not offer coupons or promo codes. Anyone telling you otherwise is trying to scam you into clicking on their link, so they get a commission. "
I have no idea why you posted this... but a moderator will probably remove it soon. See this screen shot from the page you linked:
The page continues to tell you about Adobe's deals and what they cost.

Yes but the page title on Google search says:
"Adobe Stock Discounts - 95% Off - Verified October 2022"
See attached screenshot. I think the idea is the get you to click on the page and then click on the affilaite link (to generate revenue).
Still seems a bit misleading...

Hi,
maybe you are right. But thats a common Internet problem and has not so much to do with Adobe or Adobe Stock. Hpe that helps.

Yes but if you try to go through Adobe support you get stuck in a loop. There doesnt seem to be anywhere to contact Adobe directly so the support forum is the only place.

But once again, this is not an Adobe issue, and they can't fix it.

Interesting. I'd guess this, then, is a cleverly designed clickbait page, which returns one title to Google "Adobe Stock Discounts - 95% Off - Verified ..." and a different title the rest of the time "Adobe Stock Coupons and Deals 2023 | The Truth". Then there is the more complex question - what could Adobe (or anyone else) do about this. The only people who could stop it are Google, I guess.

So, let me recapitulate your claim:
You are unhappy that a search optimized page, working fine with Google and getting a top spot, is not click baiting you, but provides accurate information. If you click there the Adobe stock link, and take a plan, and they are making money, you find that immoral?

Personally, I find it immoral; lying clickbait is morally repellant as well as time wasting. It depends on your view of the relative importance of lying, compared to other sins, I suspect.

If you work in marketing and advertising, you are lying all the time.
This site avoids people to enter data somewhere, where they get promised a reduction coupon, that does not exist. You search for coupons and Adobe and get at the first sight informed that coupons do not exist. Not here and not elsewhere. You get useful information. It protects your privacy.

Yes, John, part of the point is to get revenue. However, I disclose at the top of the page how it works (spoiler: we earn a commission if you make a purchase after clicking our link at no extra cost to you). So, if you don't want us to get any revenue, you don't have to click the links. Of course, most websites you browse work this way. This is how we can keep them running since hosting a large site and dedicating hours to it every day of the week is expensive. Naturally, we could remove all such links and move to a donation-based model. Would you be more interested in that?
Cheers,
Matic

Hello, John and all other polite readers of Adobe forums,
Matic here (the "very rude" website owner). Although I tried to refrain from joining your rant, John, I decided I cared too much about what others thought.
First of all, thank you, @Test Screen Name, for pointing out that the very first sentence in my blog post mentions that there are no coupons. Let alone that the title of the page includes "The Truth". I tried to explain that to our dear John, but he couldn't be bothered to read this part since he was too involved in finding the best deal and then looking for a scapegoat when he couldn't find one.
You claim here that I was rude. I responded to all your emails cordially and tried explaining the logic to you, despite you calling me "deluded" and a liar, all the while threatening me and not responding to my emails after explaining it to you.
And yes, using titles like this is clickbait; everyone uses it. It's not a tactic I like to use, but you would never even find that blog post if I didn't. There are dozens of multimillion-dollar companies doing the same. Still, you prefer to go after a photographer who dedicates his free time to sharing maybe some useful info—so I don't understand what's your beef with me.
More to the point, I've never called this a coupon or a promo code. Instead, I emphasized it was a deal or a discount. I understand you find this misleading, but it's a fact. If you get an identical image with identical licensing for $0.26 instead of $9.99, I'd call that a 97.4% discount. Granted, you have to buy a large subscription instead of the smallest one, but it's a discount nonetheless, and someone who can afford a large subscription will find that information useful.
Finally, I always appreciate constructive criticism. I saw through your insults and added additional information to the article that will clarify matters: "Note: These discounts are available by default to everyone buying from Adobe Stock and are not unique to Photutorial."
Thank you to everyone participating in this discussion, and I hope you find any value in Photutorial.
Kind regards,
Matic

Nice job to get the number 2 spot on Google search. I have found many sites that are not providing useful information at spot number 1-10.
I will lock this thread now.
