My first piece of music from Adobe Stock was Copyright Struck

I started using Adobe Stock today. I was very excited to be able to use royalty free music from Adobe. I was unpleasantly surprised when a claimant struck down the first piece of music from Adobe in one of my videos. It turns out that a track you have listed as "Making Her Smile" by Yigit Atilla is actually a track called "Always" by Leonel Brody. Is this a common occurrence? Do you legally back the usage of the tracks you are providing as royalty free?

You got the right to use the music in Youtube - but other people don't. This makes your content more exclusive! But it does mean that Youtube are blocking all the people who just want to use it without paying. And it means you need to let Youtube know that you have these rights. This is a normal process when music is licensed. Details of what to do are here: https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2020/06/16/adobe-stock-audio-content-id-claims.html

That said, the two different artists is unusual. But we might hope it's the same artist looking for different markets.

General approach: As a licensee of Adobe stock you are entitled to use the assets according to Adobe's licensing terms which includes use on Youtube. Please follow @Test Screen Name 's link for more information.

If, however, someone has uploaded copyrighted material to Adobe stock, Adobe will take down that material and will sanction the offender. This happens from time to time, but the vast majority of contributors contribute material the is of their own creation. However, Youtube and different other portals can't always assume that the soundtrack is properly licensed and so they they put correctly licensed contributions on-hold.

This will get worse with the mandatory upload filters that some countries will put into law. As bad as this is for the lawful user, it is something we need to live with.
