Transparent background

Hi, we recently got an adobe stock image  #461107188 which seemed to have a transparent backgroud. Unfortunately now we have to get an illustrator license to work on it. Isn't it possible to simply provide a gif image with transparent background? Thanks for your help.

It would at least be kind to point out before buying an image that editing is not possible without Adobe Illustrator.
