Can't open downloaded .ai file on Mac
Just downloaded an .ai file from Adobe Stock but my Mac won't open it.
Says "It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize."
What can I do?

Just downloaded Illustrator, didn't know I needed it.
Was able to open it, thanks Brad.
Yeah .ai files are Adobe Illustrator Files. If you don't have Illustrator and don't want to accidentally license a .ai file just make sure that Vectors is not selected in the search tool.
