infinite saving in Painter

Sometimes while working in the program, I press ctrl s to save, basically everything works fine, but it happens that at this moment it is written from below that the saving is going on, but it does not stop. Interestingly, before this bug happens, I stop loading icons and thumbnails of materials and textures. repeated attempts to save create even more saving processes (this can be seen in the screenshot) that do not end. HELP!

I can't see anything in the release notes relating to that issue, but equally I have never experienced any saving issues from Painter, so I can't replicate your issue.

Are you saving to a local disk or an external or mapped network drive?

From memory, this kind of issue is related to a problematic asset file in the Shelf. Can you send us your log (help>export log...), so we can have a better look on what's happening?

For future referencve to anybody havcing this issue. Try exporting a smart material to a folder on your pc and you should see your infinite savcing vcomplete

I get the same issue. Exporting a smart material didn't help. One time deleing the newly added material fixed the issue, but now I am experiencing it again.

Try saving it to different places. It seems to make a difference. I've had it work when saving to documents but not work when saving to external harddrive. Also ending the autosave process if its autosave related fixes another similar issue

As mentioned upthere, saving issues are often related to corrupted files. I advise you to check your custom library.
