How do I open the console for substance 3d painter? I have been trying to look for it in all the top tabs. Been trying to follow this tutorial https://substance3d.adobe.com/documentation/spdoc/environment-variables-172823292.html and it says everything but how to open the console.

If you are using Windows 10 or 11 type 'environment' into the Windows search bar and select the option to edit system environment variables

This will open a system properties dialogue box and at the bottom there is a button Environment Variables

Under 'User variables' click on 'New'

Type in your required Environment Variable e.g. SUBSTANCE _PAINTER_PREVIEWS_MEMORY_BUDGET

Type in your required value e.g. 1000

Click OK which takes you back to the system properties dialogue

Press OK again

Open Substance Painter and the new value will be used (you can check it in the log)

Hi again @Zoe26434621fivq,

To use the environment variables you linked here, you'll need to use the Command Prompt from your computer (cmd in your search bar). But if your goal is still to change the icon memory budget,  under your Preferences > General > Preview Options, you can set up the local cache budget.
