Parts of mesh turning dark grey

Parts of my models are turning dark grey after baking the mesh. Consequently, the textures appear darker then the rest of the scene. What can I do to fix this?

Check that the faces are not inverted on either model.

I've gotten similar before and flipping the faces on the dark area on the baking model fixed it.

how do I check or fix the faces that are inverted because I am having the same issue and then when I put material on the mesh some parts are darker than others
