I have been using the blender add-on integration tools to load the adobe Substance materials in my 3D files. But now I have a new laptop (macbook pro) and when I try to install the same add-on and integration tools it does not work anymore. I get an error trying to install the add-on and all the materials I try to apply are shown as black.
Hopefully there is someone that can help me. I already tried unintalling and re-installing the addon multiple times.
My hardware and software is up to date:
Blender version is up to date: 3.4.0
Macbook Pro: Ventura 13.0.1
I get this error:
I have sent an invite. Please expect an email from the Adobe pre-release program soon.

Hi, The plugin is now officially available on our website: https://substance3d.adobe.com/plugins/substance-in-blender/. Please download the integration tools and the addon directly from our Substance webiste.

Thanks @Shwetha23063442qtvs, -- there seems to still be issues with the plugin. Trying on both Blender 3.6 + 4.0 the plugin installs correctly but clicking 'Load' fails to bring up the file-picker dialog. Editing the plugin python files directly I can force it to open the dialogue by commenting out some of the code, but it still fails to load a .sbsar, which makes me think there is an issue with some of the conditionals not executing as expected...
Any help with this would be great, I have a trial of Substance Sampler that is a bit pointless if I can't load them into Blender.

I managed to debug the issue; SubstanceInBlenderAddOn couldn't find the wmic module. Enabling WMIC and fixing the system environment variable to reference WMIC correctly fixed this - might start affect more users who use Windows 11. WMIC deprecated

Hi @Luke352519826fd9 , thank you for the update! Glad that the plugin issue has been resolved. We have encountered this in a few scenarios and have included troubleshooting for the WMIC fix in our documentation.
Sharing that here for any other users that may run into it.

Hi @axelg14812370 , thanks for sharing. Is this the latest 2.0 version of the addon and tools? We recently updated and the version on our web page and that update makes the addon compatible with Blender 4.0+ on Mac. If your addon version is not 2.0, try downloading the updated version.
If you are on the latest version, there may have been a Substance Remote Engine conflict. You can try two things:
/Users/(username)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Substance3DIntegrationTools

Having this issue with Blender 4.1 and version 2.1.1 of the Integration Tools on an M2 MacBook Air.
The Add-On installs but when I try to install the IntegrationTools manually, this error pops up. The Load button in the Add-On in Blender is not clickable.
I have tried the methods mentioned in this thread and still cannot install. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi JMeister_79
The "toolkit_file_not_recoginzed_error" that you are getting means two possible things:
1) The toolkit file is not a zip file
2) The filename of the toolkit is not in the standarized format established by Adobe, so it doesn't recognize it
Since you mention you are using a MacBook, is there any chance that you are downloading in safari, and Safari is automatically extracting the zip file? that could be causing the issue
Also, can you elaborate on what does "install the integrationtools manually" means?? are you extracting it yourself??
are you copy/pasting the contents somewhere??

I am not using Safari so it is still a .zip file after download. I am going into Blender and selecting the downloaded .zip files from the add-on screen where it says it is missing from, that is where I am getting the error.
literally following the install instructions step by step and that is the error I get.

mmm... I just tested it right now and is working fine, while doing a fresh install from scratch, what is the name of the zip file you download?

Looks like I got it to work. I was using Arc and for some reason it seems to rename downloaded files.
Downloaded using Chrome and it worked.

@Molokwu38725188ybrz It is on this link, but you need to scroll down to get to the integration tools download.
The main add-on files are the blue button at the top, and the tools files are the links just below it. Select the one that corresponds to your OS. Screenshot attached.
