Community Beginner ,
Sep 05, 2023 Sep 05, 2023

I don't really know how to describe this correctly but basically after opening an image to be converted to a material using AI I can see it loading but once it's done I'm just left with a black mesh and no textures whatsoever 😕

This is on windows 10, RTX 3070ti laptop

Hi,

Sampler try to use the old Image to material (AI Powered). Something went wrong during the update.

You can try the "reload" blue button below the layers ("Neu laden" in your UI Language).

If it doesn't work you can try to rename (for back up) or delete this folder:
/Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Substance 3D Sampler

It will reset Sampler, you will need to reconnect your local folders if you had any.

Hi,

After taking a look again to your logfile I realized that I gave you the wrong path for the deleting folder manipulation.
Which make the manipulation unsuccessfull as you couldn't find it. Here's the manipulation again, tell me if you find the folder and succeed to delete it:

"If it doesn't work you can try to rename (for back up) or delete this folder:
 ~/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Substance 3D Sampler

It will reset Sampler, you will need to reconnect your local folders if you had any."

You also didn't anwer my question, that makes me unable to help you more:

  • What happen if you try to put a new Image to material (AI powered) filter in the stack?
  • I've noticed you have some Sampler folder on your E: disc, Can you make sure you have Sampler installed on this disc or if you have maybe 2 Sampler one on C: and one on E: ?

Deleting the Sampler folder at ~/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Substance 3D Sampler hasn't fixed it.

I did answer your question, but I think you might have missed it: adding a new Image to material (AI powered) filter in the stack doesn't fix the issue. Sampler is installed on my E drive.

My question was : "What happen if you try to put a new Image to material (AI powered) filter in the stack?" (I'll add that it will be necessary to delete the first one first".

Is there any reason for you to install Sampler on your E: drive instead of the C: ?
