Imported PNGs look low res

No matter how hi-res I save an image beforehand, when I import a PNG the edges are pixelated and it looks low res. Not just in Ray Tracing or the working file, but even when it's rendered fully. I am running the most recent version of the app.

    This is a huge bug which has existed from the beginning. No matter how good a res you have on that png, it will not be sharp. I've tried importing other high quality formats and it results in the same low quality result.
