Importing a background image

I have a problem importing a background image. When I try to import a background image, I get the following message: There is a problem reading the file. There is nothing wrong with the file, as I tried to use the same file with a colleague and it works normally.

Can anyone help me solve this problem.

No matter what the file size or file format, the result is always the same. I found a solution by uploading the image to the library and adding it to the background.

Is it possible for you to import another file? If yes it depends on file properties. Open it in Photoshop, expert as JPG and try again.
