Generative Background, powered by Adobe Firefly, available in Stager (Beta)

Hello Stagers!  I'm super excited to announce that we've launched Generative Backgrounds, powered by Adobe Firefly!  This feature is available now in the Substance 3D Stager (Beta) application.  The Beta application can be downloade via the Creative Cloud desktop app, under the beta apps section.

Generative Backgrounds allows you to use a combination of text prompts and high-level controls (color, lighting, composition) to generate photorealistic background imagery for your staging needs.  This can save a ton of time compared to building out 3D scene backgrounds, and can be more flexible and customizable than searching for the right stock photograph.

Generative Backgrounds is in public beta and does not consume generative credits at this time.  See the full documentation.

I came to the forum to ask how much longer it will take until the Stager app is finally fully Apple Silicon ported and supports the new M3 hardware ray-tracing functionality?

But when I saw this post, I also realized that the Beta Apps category is gone from my Adobe CC app on Mac.. How can I get it back and install the Stager beta?

I can see the beta apps I had previously installed, with an older version of Adobe CC, but I have no way of getting to and installing other beta apps, like Stager.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thats cool! Love all the AI trends. I will probably continue using midjourney for raw image generation until firfly is more mature but it is great that adobe is getting in the game. The combo of ai with all the functionality of the adobe world is incredably powerfull. Allready generative fill in photoshop is a huge boost as an image repair tool. I reckon with adobe resources behin firefly it should be a fairly rapid catch up with the other higher perfoming image generators.

By the way I checked the bug fix notes and did not see any mention of vram problem with certain video cards that causes system to slow or crash when approaching Max vram on the card. I understand this to be a known bug? Is it on the docket? Thanks for all the effort moving this tool forward, catching up with all the deep functionality and mature development of painter and designer must be daunting!
