Question

Timeline doesnt sync for shared project

So my friend and I are trying to work on a project together. We already uploaded the media to the creative cloud, so we both have the same footage. The only problem comes when we try sharing the changes made on the project. Once we hit, "Share changes", all we get is the shared footage into the media browser but not the changes we make into the timeline. In fact, the timeline is blank. Is there something we're doing wrong?

I'm running into the same error, we've synced everything but the timeline doesn't seem to reflect changed between each other even after we "share my changes" and my collaborator "get latest changes". What can we do to make sure the timeline syncs between our devices? Thanks

Hi George,

Do you mind inviting me to the Team Project as well [upawlik@adobe.com]?

Best,
Udo

I've moved this thread over to the Team Projects forum, as some of the TP devs monitor over "here".

This is strange. So hoping that we'll get a staffer on soon. @Udo_Pawlik  and @michaelgoshey  are both very good at assisting.

Hi Ben,
I can't read here if you or your collaborator actually got the latest changes as this does not happen automatically. After someone shared changes to a Team Project, these changes need to be synchronized with other collaborators versions by 'Getting latest changes'. After this happened the representation in the Team Project panel should match the last version shown in the Media Browser.

Are you using a Team Projects project, or a "standard" Premiere Pro project file?

I'm not sure. How do you tell the difference?

I clicked new team project and added my friend as a collaborator.

Hey Ben. Sorry, you're having trouble getting started. I hope I can assist. If you have a "Share My Changes" button in the lower right corner of your Project panel, it's a Team Project.

Here are my steps: I first click the Share My Changes button, and then a Team Projects dialog box opens with the sequence I was working on inside it. Selecting it is not necessary. I then click the Share button in that dialog box, and the changes are then shared almost immediately. I just tested that workflow out here at my home office, and it seems to work very well. Does that help at all?

Thanks,
Kevin
