I have a project that was sent to me, I asked for the InDesign package folder but received a fzip older with the following .indb file .indd files ( 20 of them for 20 chapters) document fonts -folder links folder I want to open the files and save as ONE .indd file, I have never done that before can someone help me out here? thx dr

Yes I used the tracing then expand, I need to upload the .svg to a program called Videoscribe. I can see right away if the fix works or not. I just used an free .svg converter and that converted file works fine but I would rather do myself in Illustrator. I have to be doing something wrong. R

I have a few .jpg's and .png files I need to convert to .svg. I use the trace tool and usually save to default, I go thru the save options but when Iopem the ,svg it has a black box the size of the image, can anyone tell me what the proper protocol to save to .svg is?

Thats exactly what I did and it did work BUT the mask was originally in a movie clip and that clip was originally moving from side to side on the main timeline. So like I write , do I have to animate all the layers within the mask on the main timeline or is there another way?

Ah now I read that you need to only use masks on the main timeline which I did and it works but the mask and other parts of that animation needs to be inside a movie clip symbol which is where it was. So am I forced to recreate what the movie clip symbol did I have to create the moment on the main timeline? for instance inside movie clip has a mask - movie clip animates from side to side on main timeline ORIGINAL now for Canvas place elements of movie clip on main timeline and animate this elements from side to side on main timeline?

Created an animation in AS3.0 .fla using Animate CC. I have a mask inside of a symbol in the animation which of course works fine exported to swf but when I publish to Canvas the mask is not there. I looked into the new .fla file Canvas produced and I see there is no layer mask and I see the message in the output WARNINGS: ** 2 Bitmaps packed successfully into 1 spritesheet(s). Frame numbers in EaselJS start at 0 instead of 1. For example, this affects gotoAndStop and gotoAndPlay calls. (5) Can Canvas export working masks?

OK I went over this and I think I should try to do the following, use the standard quiz slides and change / modify the page but I have a concern. All the quizzes I need to do are multiple choice and I see the interactivity is a standard radio button . Is there a way to swap the radio button for artwork? In other words can I use an image of a circle? Once I know this I will have a few more questions but this is the most important question. R

You bring up a good point as I used the artwork for all the slides and they are all blank slides with the same background in all. Any slides with questions I made buttons out of images as there are a few multiple choice equations. reason I brought up the down state was the client wanted the selected button in a darker color so the user knows which button he selected.personally I would have just had a three state button and when you click the action would have been other correct to incorrect. But the client insists that there is a submit button so that means I have to add conditions in variables and thats a whole other animal. But adding a state that is custom I think will do the trick but again I run into a lot of variables because if there are 4 answers to choose from and client clicks button one and that button remains in the downstate I need to have a variable set to tell the submit button id the answer is right or wrong , a lot of work. Am I better off using the quiz slides and swapping the original images or text with the new images and or text, at least I won't have to go nuts with variables. any pointers? R

On a page in a Captivate quiz I have 4 buttons that were made out of 4 images. all 4 buttons have 3 states up over and down I need each button to go to the DOWN state when clicked. Scenerio is viewer hears audio and selects the correct image, when user clicks on any button image the button state will display in the DOWN STATE if viewer changes mind and selects another one of the buttons the first button will go back to the upsate and the newly selected button will display the down state. last part is there is a submit button ( separate ) so depending on which button viewer chose an image will appear eater correct or try again, follow? rd

I need to convert a few pdf's to html pages and word docx's. I notice that pdf's generated from InDesign or Photoshop usually save but in this instance I need to save an Ibooks Author generated pdf and I get EXPORT SAVE AS FAILS TO PROCESS I did re save the file in Acrobat is this an Apple Adobe compatibility issue? The pdf like is only 6.4MB so I know its not the size. ??? RD

CP9 - I published files to html5 , when viewing on my desktop I do not see the player control but when I view on an IPad or smartphone I see the controls and have to press the forward arrow for the file to play. How do I disable the main peak controls from view? Rd

Yes understood as I need this for both desktop and mobile versions as there are 3 views so the plan is to tap the icon and have the TOC show up which is fine but still need to make sure I can have the blue bar icon replace the TOC in the upper left corner????? R

Yes I was looking at some of the learning interactions widgets but that TOC should work well, was wondering if the following is possible? Place the TOC widget on the top left replacing the blue lined button in my project AND being able to ROLLOVER or TAP to make the TOC appear? ?? R

I have a simple project in CP9 except for this part which is confusing see the screenshot below as I need the blue square lines in the upper left to be a button, on rollover it would show a nested menu and you could tap either area to go to that slide. When I tried to do that I first created a button out of the blue lines and in the rollover state I was going to add the nested menu but cannot find how to create a nested menu OR to create a button inside a button. There has to be a better way as I was always able to do in Flash. Can I do this in HTML5 like Edge and import into Captivate? Screenshots

Sorry, let me re explain, if you look above this text field you will see there are grey stars on the page that say average user rating and then Your rating, if you mouse over the stars they light up yellow and when you click a star it saves the rating. Last I attempted this was in AIR 14.0 and had no problems, I know this is an Adobe issue NOT an Apple issue as I'm getting the "digital certificate invalid" msg in Flash CC. I have a few questions as I must be inputting the wrong certificate. Just to make sure, here is the workflow. In the AIR 17 publishing window it asks for the p12 certificate. My question is which Apple generated certificate needs to be converted to p12? I have the following certs: IOS development IOS distribution certs then the provisioning profile certs development distribution which one of the 4 certificates needs to be converted to a p12? last question: on the failure each time I receive the "digital certificate invalid" message do I need to re do the certificates over again? If so which ones? any help here as I see Apple videos but NO Adobe on this. MRD

I developed an app using Flash CC 2014, In IOS I had to upgrade to the builder and I got the function to work, but now I have the same app and need to develop for Android. I created a separate fla and did the following Used Android 17.0.0.96 added the general info created the p12 now I have the option to choose captive or shared runtime. I get warnings about each when I publish so I have to publish this app to GooglePlay and need to know the procedure as I'm on a Mac and I see procedures involving code when doing this on a windows machine. Can someone help me out here? R

Finally got it to work and uploaded, I got 1 more question, Apple says that I'm missing two icons here is the message Missing recommended icon file - The bundle does not contain an app icon for iPad of exactly '76x76' pixels, in .png format for iOS versions >= 7.0. Missing recommended icon file - The bundle does not contain an app icon for iPad of exactly '152x152' pixels, in .png format for iOS versions >= 7.0. After you’ve corrected the issues, you can use Xcode or Application Loader to upload a new binary to iTunes Connect. Where do I include these icon sizes as I do not see those sizes in the Flash publishing area. thanks for the help just need this last issue corrected. RD
