I'm using the cameraUI class for letting users record a video. Unfortunately the result is barely useable because most of the time the video is between slightly blurred to completely blurred (particularly on some android device. It seems that while the exposure react correctly, the focus is off most of the time. The problem is apparent on all the devices I tried be it iOS or android, but more dramatic on android. The definition of the video doesn't seem to be the culprit because touching the screen makes it better but for a very short period. Anyone is using cameraUI for video recording? Any help? Thank you

Yeah something like that. Now they are committed to the ios upgrade. Then they will take care of android 64. I guess if they didn't make it so far it's probably because it's not trivial. In the end we will have better performance on android which was a bit poor against ios. Surely new bugs and probably some old that will be gone. As I said elsewhere I think the resources on Air are limited so they don't waste them babysitting users. Personally I prefer that they work on the code than on the forum...

I had the same issue on android and fix it with this: GitHub - freshplanet/ANE-KeyboardSize: Air Native Extension (Android) for measuring soft keyboard size I use it to monitor the soft keyboard and adapt the viewport accordingly. A bit of a hack but it works fine.

Lately I had several users on android that wasn't able to import image from their gallery where I'm using browseForImage and MediaPromise. I checked and saw that browseForImage didn't send a valid image, just a stream with a text saying "exception thown by getter" I filled a bug Tracker I can't say when the problem came up, but I'm sure it was working before. Does anyone face the same problem? I'm wondering whether Google is actively looking for a solution. Actually this issue seems to occur only on Air apk. So it might be a change on Google end that will not necessarily be fixed for Air package. So maybe Air team should look into this and check with Google how to find a solution.

We can discuss why would you chose a particular technology for a project but in the end of the day we still have project on Adobe Air otherwise we wouldn't be here. So we better help everything will be fine on Air in the future. On Apple side I hope Jobs's Fatwa is over.
