Hi, I am working on a Swedish version so some times its hard to know the specific names of things. When Ãt did not work I only had a clipping mask and the png export did not catch that so I had to remove free that mask and use the patchfinder to cut the object out. I attach the iconimage and you might understand. this first image is the last cut outted and this is how the first png image looked lite. best regards Mattias

Thank you all fot getting involved in this. I had to use the pathfinder to make it work. It worked fine. I dont use this kind of export so much but in this case it was a for icon for a software. best regards Mattias

Hi, When I export an png -file from illustrator and have a clippingmask that will not work so there is not transparency. Anyone know if there´s a way to export png with clipping mask transparency ? / Mattias

Thanks, I have worked quite much with the 3D Camera so I am aware of all things that can happen. In this case turning off the collapse switch made what I wanted. Thanks Roei and Rick to taking you time to answer this. / Mattias

Thanks. I just want to put the comps/layer in z level depth. Sometimes I some layer dont move along when I change position but maybe it's the comps that always needs to set to 3D, not the layers . I check this out.

I have created a BG in photoshop to be used in the 3D camera in AE. There are several layers and folders in the psd -file so there will be many subcomps. As I understand it you need to make all layers into 3D layers to work in the camera view. Is there a way to mark a layer in a comp and it's subcomps in an easy way. best regards Mattias ( using AE 2018 at this time )

Yes, layer clipping Masks, Since the sublayers dissappears in the paste I have to rebuild the layers and activate the mask again. / Matitas

Hi, When I copy a layer and its sublayer and paste into another file the sublayers are lost and if I have a mask in these layers are lsot and I have to remask them. Is there a way to copy paste and keep the layer and sublayers? / Matitas

Hi, Is there a way to save the effects and their settings that you have for a clip tp be used in other clip so you dont have to copy paste to accesss the other ones. Maybe there is also a way to link several clips to one effects setup so you could many in one go. Many years ago I used some kind of contacts sheet plug in where you collected every scene as an image in a contact sheet in a comp and then you could add effects to that contact image and the comp would update. I used it on AE but I havent found it or a similar script that works that way now. Anyone know how to do that? best regards Matitas

I have made a gif-animation that works fine when I play it on my computer but when its uploaded to a website ( episerver) it loose the looping function and sometimes also the speed. The personer working with the epi-server converted it using Image Magic and then it worked. But it would be good to make it work from start. Any ideas of how this can be solved. Hi,
I have a subtitle in srt ( made in an another software - Subtitle Edit - and I want to import it into Premiere.
I have looked into the forum where this topic has been discussed but did find sollution to the problem so I try again.
Its 2 things.
1. When I drag the file into the timeline I have to resync the start. It is a way to sync the time in the srt-file with the timeline automaticly?
The first things was not so hard to live with but the other one where harder
2. The srt-file captions is too small when its imported. I tried first to scale it up in the effects-window but that made the letters a bit blurry? Then I opened up the caption setting by double-click on the srt-file in the assets-window. Then I could set the fonts bigger for each title. A bit too much work but I tried it out. But then I realised that the "srt-movie" hade a default size which was the black BG behind the white text. And if the lext was too long it was wider than the box/video so you could not see it all.
Anyoen the best wayt to adjust these settings inside premiere.
I also tried the final cut + png export from Subtitle Edit but I wanted white text with black box as background.

Hi, I found the sollution and realized my question was not complete. Since I used the camera and the layer was a 3D layer the achor point was way out on the base shape so I tracket that down and moved it to its position and the copied that to the repater achorpoint.

Hi, I have an ai-file where I can created a shapelayer from a vector layer. I have done that before. I works fine. But now when editing with the pen tool, when I try to move the point in the path the point jumps away on the screen. When I use the convert tool it works fine but not the pen tool. Any idea what that could be? I use a wacom tablet for editing.

I know this could be done another way but I want to see how far you can get with the shapelayer merge path settings.Can I have made an object in illustrator. In this case a mouth with teeth, tongue . It was maske by a mouth shape. When importing in AE and convert to shape layer this makes 4 groups. 2 with teeth ( up and down ) 1 with tounge 1 with color inside mouth. All groups have the mask path and the path for the object. If I want to open the mouth I need to change all the mask path in all four objects. I can copy paste I guess. But there are two option I am thinking of. 1. Can you link a path with another som the get synced? 2. Can you move the mask path above the 4 groups and mask them so you just need a one mask path? best regards Mattias

I dont think I run any scripts in this case. I used a trim path on a shapelayer if that could be called a script in this case. Otherwise I have a few scripts installed like RubberHose, duik, motion etc but these where not used in this project. / Mattias

Hi, A few years ago used a script in Ae where I could collect all comps into a new comp and see them like a storyboard and set color grades on that. But now I Cant find that one. Any ideas on a similar tool. I am also looking for a script/ tool that can save out a image from every comp in an easy way. To use it as scenes shots in the workflow presentation in the team of coworkers. / Mattias

I want to change the timecode so it starts wiht 03:00:00:00 so it works good for my sounddesigner. I want to be saved with the project since every film will have a unique start-time. Its a series so the start nummber will be the episode number. best regards Mattias

Hi, I haven´t really tracked it down. But I learned if you use the pin tools on a vector layer and have that in a comp and rasterize that comp it will not work. It will look weird or not show up. I think it will have something with the rasterize effect on a comp with vector layer ( with an effect on it ) inside to do. this thing too maybe. / Matitas

I have made a small animation where I use the script PuppetTools to animate a shapelayer. Inside the the comp it works well but in the parent comp everything is moving except the shapelayer.? And its the same if you use a normal shapelayer and ad pins to it and animation. It shows in the current comp inside it but not when go to parent comp. Anyone has an idea why it´s like this? / Mattias
