I want to create a Software Simulation to upload to YouTube in order to import it back into Captivate 9 for my project. I have a few issues. 1. When I create automatic panning the panning goes everywhere when I move my mouse around. How do I correct that? 2. Why isn't it saving as in video format? 3. I need it as a Captivate video format in order to apply the pan and zoom effects later, is that correct? Thanks so much.

Another question on Captivate 9. Should I make an image folder within the Captivate folder before I import external images into Captivate? I am guessing yes. Or does Captivate 9 do that automatically. I am guessing I have to do that first. Also, (and I know someone touched on this before), why is Captivate saving the cache folder on my desktop and the job folder in my documentary folder? When I bring this to the job interview I am going I obviously have to bring both folders. Thanks

What if I use Captivate's Simulation to show how to download a trial version of Captivate from the Adobe website? Would it work fine then? Also, can I put the flash player within the file I am sending to them via the folder I am including it in? Also, what is the best method to email them these files? I suppose I can always bring it on a Flash drive. Thanks

What content do you think I should cover for my e-learning presentation I am giving on Adobe Captivate 9? The presentation should be no longer than 15 minutes. I am coming up with my own outline. Hi. Good point you're making. I want more focused terminology on Captivate's menus terms. But you are right. Much of the terminology will be generic to other Adobe graphic tools. However, I am sure that Adobe Captivate has a few new terms that I should come up to speed with. I just want to make sure I am using it properly in my presentation. Given the excellent tutorials that Adobe provides, I am sure I can get everything I need there. I was just hoping for a special INDEX I could find. Thanks for your help.

Since I am to give an e-learning presentation for a job interview, I am doing it on Adobe Captivate 9. Am I able to do a Simulation of Adobe Captivate itself? Am I able to export this Software Simulation as a .PDF form? Can this Simulation be part of the overall e-Learning lesson that I am creating within Adobe Captivate 9? I want to use my professional microphone by using a pre-amp. As long as I plug everything in, Adobe Captivate will know to use the Mic, correct? Thank you for your help.

I just learned about Adobe Captivate Draft. What an awesome tool! I know it runs on the iPad. My question is, does it also work on Android phones? If not is there another Adobe app that will do the same thing that Draft does that can be imported into Adobe Captivate? Thank you.

Thanks. Should I put the cache folder in the same folder as my Captivate folder? I moved it to the desktop. I actually did change where Captivate saves the files. I selected the desktop. But it's still saving it to my Documents directory within OS X El Capitan.

I notice that Adobe Captivate 9 is very similar to Adobe Flash when it comes to how the menu items work. In Flash if I would double click on a symbol it would bring me into the library where the symbol was. Is there a way to do this within Adobe Captivate? Thank you. My apology!!! I Captivate was originally saving my files to my Document folder on my OS X computer. I purposely moved them to my Desktop and went into Captivates preferences and made sure it looked to my Adobe Captivate folder on my desktop to save them. That's where the confusion came in. Although I did this, Captivate is still saving them to my document's folder. Why is this? The screen shot here is the actual screen shot I wanted to embed in my post above. It looks pretty self evident to me. Do the wdgt stand for the widget files that make Captivate interactive? And why are those files for on my desktop? lol

I would appreciate some guidance in understanding the file hierarchy of Adobe Captivate 9. I have years of experience files that go into web design and flash. However, Adobe Captivate is something new. I am adding a screen shot here to show what I see. Thank you for your answer. By "revert" I mean, if I make 5 changes, can I choose "revert" to make the Adobe Captivate switch back to the previously saved version? I'm glad you brought up the PDF file. How do I export Captivate 9 as a PDF file? When you say the exported PDF is based on the SWF does that mean it will require a Flash Plug-In? The potential client I am meeting wants my Captivate 9 file saved as a PDF. I will work in the cptx mode for now. Thank you for your help.

So the .cptx is the default extension the Captivate uses? Also, when it saves it as a .cptx.bak does that serve as something like a .zip file would, in that, it compresses the entire Captivate project? So does it back up on a continued basis in case the project crashes? Since I am have not used Adobe Captivate in a few years do you recommend I just use newbie UI for now? Thanks

Hello everyone, I am using a trial version of Adobe Captivate 9 for a job interview. Can I upload these files to show on the internet? If so, what format do I save the files as? Would it be a good idea to bring the Adobe Creative 9 file with me on a flash drive and ask to install the file on their local computer instead? Once the 30 day trial version is over and the file is no longer accessible, what happens to that file? Will it become accessible again if I purchase Adobe Captivate? Thank you.
