Everything is as usual in File Info window. In Raw Data, the semicolon separated text are shown as list elements. I tried some examples I found using ExternalObject library, but no sucess. Only a weird one, that doesn't fill my gap using something like: xm.getProperty(XMPConst.NS_DC , "creator/*[1]") and xm.getProperty(XMPConst.NS_DC , "creator/*[2]") But, since I don't know the number of elements, I can't get the correct result. It's weird, because the Caption feature in InDesign, returns the full text (as shown in links panel).

I'm trying to get the property Author from linkXmp. This is how it shows in Links panel. The result is only "tanleimages". But the expected result is "tanleimages, Elenamiv/Shutterstock" as it is showing in Links panel (or Bridge, or Photoshop). Why I can't get the correct information using "linkXmp.author"? Any idea? It's a super simple hyperlink schema. But the document is FULL of hyperlinks. As you can see in page 1 of this sample document, I have links to some pages. I need to update some links (when I run the script again, for example). I have text frames and, when run for the first time, the main script creates rectangles in top of them (client request). If the client runs the script again, I used an approach very similar to Brian's suggestion to check, then loop, then remove to create again. But, since the document is really FULL of hyperlinks, each loop is taking more time than I like. Thanks, Uwe!

Is there a way to point directly to the hyperlink is using a specific pageItem as sourcePageItem? For example, when we try to add a new hyperlink to the document, and the sourcePageItem is already in use... I want to remove the hyperlink that is using it and then create the new one.

Hello, there. I have an InDesign document with lots of indd files placed in. Those placed indd files have another indd files placed in. I need to recursively open all (including the nested ones) indd placed files (links) and update the out of date links. I always get stucked in recursive things... Any help?

I made it my own way. Placing the smp file, reading it, making relations of the styles and then changing the imported text with find/change.

I see this post from Kahrel. And, as I told, I'm using exactly this. I'm setting the preset in the first Word placement and set the selected preset as default. If I don't misunderstood, I don't need to create a new preset each time I want to place a Word file using script.

My function to place the word files is like this: for (var i=0; i<dwords.length; i++) {

} As mentioned, the first one results OK, all other Word files in the folder (which I stored in the dwords variable) results in an InDesign document without, for example, the style mappings.

Any suggestion on how to import multiple Word documents (each Word to a new InDesign document) using an import preset? I have the SMP file and need to apply it to all selected Word files. I though I can show the import dialog options in the first one, I instructed my client to set the preset to be the default. But this way just the first Word file receives the import options set in SMP file. Any thoughts?
