The photo is is the white background from the jpeg. It's got grey grid lines on it. I used jpeg because some printing services request it.

Hi, I've printed a black on white a4 poster but the white background did not turn out well and haha pixelated background. See 15191273211271426828061 — imgbb.com Meanwhile, the pdf version was fine with a crisp white background. What do I do to get rid of the unclear jpeg background? Thanks!!

I am trying to use both jpg and pdf so I would like to work out how it works with jpg. The preview image for pdf is also the same with a white border around it. Yes there is the background that overlaps the trim box (I made it 8.25x10.25 board with a 0.25 bleed)

Yes it will be sent to be printed. Thank you for the advice! I tried resizing it to 8x10 in artboard. I added a 3mm bleed but when I exported to jpg, there is a white border around it which I assume is the 3mm bleed. How do I fix this because it seems to defeat the purpose of a bleed.

Hi Doug, Thanks for your quick response! I created a 8x10 since I wanted both A4 and 8x10 so I saved the 8x10 as one layer by adding a rectangle 8x10 around it and crop marks around that. So for the A4, I want the bleed around the A4 and for the 8x10 I want the bleed around the 8x10. The trim marks were created by selecting the 8x10 rectangle and then aligning it on the page, then object->create trim marks. Sometimes when I do this, the crop marks don't show up at all. I have tried this with effect>crop marks and there are no crop marks that show up.

Hi, I have included a 3mm bleed in my Illustrator file (A4 size) and added trim marks because I want it to be 8inx 10in so I created a rectangle 8x10in. Then I added trim marks on them to be this size. I have two questions: 1) My trim marks are never exactly 8inx 10in. I have to move the trim marks to get it as close to 8inx 10in as possible since it doesn't automatically do this. Is there some function that I haven't unlocked? 2) When I convert my file to PDF and showing trim marks. The trim marks show up but there is a white border around this area. Since 8x10in is much smaller than A4 size, there should still be some bleed left. Why does it not show up? I am confused about how to fix this. Thanks for the input in advance !

HI Doug, I reflected it using the reflect tool (vertical reflection then made a copy). They were constructed via Illustrator using my Wacom tablet to draw them and selecting a calligraphic brush from the brush tool in Illustrator.

Hi, I've seen some people sell digital photography prints on etsy with great success but I'm wondering about which cameras/specs work best so that buyers can blow up the image to a great size and not lose focus. I know you should have a SLR camera but I think I was thinking of getting a mirrorless for certain travel photography and was after minimum specifications? Thanks!

Hi, I am trying to make some watercolour brushes on Corel Painter and then use on Illustrator using the pattern brushes tool. However, I have searched for a way to do this conversion but it seems most people say it isn't possible. I was going to try and convert the Corel file to a jpg and then put it into illustrator. Is this possible or is there another easier way to do this? Or is there a faster way to make watercolour brushes (besides paint it on paper and scan it)? Thanks!

Hi, I've got a finished image I think after a painstaking amount of time using gradient mesh. I want to touch it up somehow. Not sure if there is a tool to help with this. Specifically, I have an image, which has gradient mesh over it, that needs filling in of white areas and manoeuvring the anchor points are too hard to place over the white areas or it goes over the white areas too much and ruins the image. Also, is there a way to set the image? Because everyone I click on the image, I see the mesh lines... I just want an image. Thanks!

Hi, I am currently new to Adobe and am doing the following tutorial: Logo Design Tutorial For Beginners | Adobe Illustrator | Text Logo | D - YouTube At 2:34, I am supposed to use the minus front tool but when I tried to do it on mine, it said the filter produced no results-please select two intersecting paths. If it helps, I have attached a picture of what I have done when I tried to use the minus front tool. I want to mention that the first time I tried it it worked and then for some reason I had to undo some stuff using ctrl+z till a bit before this step- I am not sure whether this is significant in impeding what I had to do afterwards. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
