Hi, You will have to separately delete them from Organizer. To do so, select those images under Media View, right click and choose 'Delete selected items from catalog'. If you want to remove an entire folder, you can also select the folder from the Folder pane at the left, right click, and choose 'Delete Folder'. Let me know if this solves your issue. Thanks!

Hi, Backup process of Elements Organizer backs up the media in the catalog too, and you do not need to take care of it separately. Please try to restore the catalog in the new machine, and media in catalog will also get restored to your new machine. Hi, Are you trying to install PSE in the same computer, PSE 17 is installed? In that case, you can 'convert' your catalog to the newer version, instead of a backup-restore. Please read more about catalog conversion here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/elements-organizer/user-guide.html/in/elements-organizer/using/creating-editing-catalogs.ug.html In case you are trying to install PSE 19 to a different computer, you will have to do a back-up-restore. I will try to explain few points here mentioned by you: I have set the name of the new catalog as catalog 21. - Here you have set the folder where the catalog should get restored to, not the catalog name. Whenever you try to restore a catalog, from a previous version, first it restores the catalog of old version, then converts it to a newer version, for eg, if you are trying to restore a catalog with the name 'My Catalog', 2 restored catalogs will get created, one of the latest version, 'My Catalog', and one of the older version 'My Catalog 1', i.e. '1' is appended to the catalog of older version. It is because you cannot have 2 catalogs with same name in one folder. So it seems here you were trying to restore a catalog with existing name 'Catalog 1'. Now you have 2 restored catalogs : Catalog 1: This belongs to PSE 19. Catalog 11: This belongs to PSE 17. Let me know if tis clears your doubts. Thanks!

To transfer your catalog to the new machine, you will first need to take a 'full backup' of your catalog from the old machine, and then restore it to the new one. Hi, You can try importing the backup file in your catalog. If a message comes up, that the file already exists in the catalog, you can delete the corrupted file from your catalog. Please delete it only from the catalog and not from the hard disk. After the corrupted file has been deleted from the catalog, try to import the backup file. Let me know if this solves the issue. Hi, Are you connected to the internet while using maps? What is your current location shown in Preferences? To open 'Preferences' in Elements Organizer, press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K if you are working on a Mac). Now choose 'Country/Region selection' tab and let me know what is your location selected here. Also, can you provide a screenshot of the problem you are facing? Thanks!

But, why the Catalog Manager window shows the Location D:/Adobe/Elements Organizer Catalog/ Elements Organizer/Catalogs --- EVEN IF IT'S GREYED OUT! What does this imply? What is the purpose of showing this Location when we know that location is NOT being UISED! By @PKFlo Hi, The 'Custom Location' is greyed out because you have currently not selected 'Custom Location' but selected 'Catalogs Accesible by All Users'. If you select 'Custom Location', it will no longer be greyed out and will get highlighted. Hope this helps. Thanks!

Hi @PKFlo , The date and size explain that you are currently using the catalog at Default location in C drive. However since the catalog is also in your D drive, you can browse to the Custom Location, and use it. Though I would not suggest deleting anything, you can rename the catalog in C: drive by appending something like '_old' to it, for you to differentiate, and keep using the one in D drive. Catalog at D drive might be missing some changes, you perhaps performed after the move, that is from 1st March to 4th March. If they aren't much, you can do them again to the catalog in D drive, and then keep using it. Let me know if this solves your issue! Thanks, Somya

Hi @MichelBParis , No, this has not been added recently. The only catch here is that if no custom location is set in Catalog Manager dialog box, 'Custom' radio button is not shown in the second dialog that opens on clicking Move. You need to set a Custom Location in Original dialog box, for it to be visible in next step. Regarding documentation on this, I will pass on your feedback to the concerned team. Thanks, Somya

Hi, Yes, you can move your catalog to any desired location. For this, 1. Open Catalog Manager, by clicking on Catalog Name at bottom right corner of Organizer. 2. Choose 'Custom Location' out of the the 3 radio buttons visible, and then Browse to the location of your choice. It will be 'D:/Adobe/Elements Organizer Catalog/Elements Organizer/Catalogs folder' in your case. 3. Now again choose 'Catalogs accessible to all users' in this window, and select your catalog from the list using a single click. 4. Click on 'Move' from the various buttons at the right of Catlog Manager Window. 5. A new window opens, and choose 'Custom Location' here, and click on OK Your catalog will move to your desired location. Please let me know if this solves your issue or in case of any other concerns. Hi, This is a symbol of photo stack, which means you have grouped some of your pictures in a stack, and what you see is the first picture of the group, and others are beneath it. To see all pictures: 1. First switch to Detailed view using View->Details 2. Then choose View-> Expand All stacks. Now you will be able to see all your pictures beneath the first picture of the stack. You can again collapse the stack using View->Collapse All Stacks If you don't want your photos to be stacked, and rather be shown as individual items, right click the stack, and choose Stack->Unstack Photos There is also an Option, Flatten stack, selecting which all photos except for the top photo are deleted from the catalog (although not from your hard drive). To do this, right click the stack, and choose Stack->Flatten stack Let me know if you have any other query regarding this. Thanks!

Hi, Go to Edit->Visibility->Show All Files. Now select all files in Media Grid using Ctrl+A (Cmd+A if you are on mac) After all files have been selected, again go to Edit->Visibility->Mark As Visible. Does this resolve your issue? Thanks!

Hi, To create an album from a folder, right click on a folder in folder view, and choose 'Create an instant album'. An album will get created in Album view with same name, having media contained in that folder. To club albums into categories, you need to first create 'New Album Category', by clicking on arrow beside '+' sign. Then you can create albums in those album categories. You can move an album from 1 category to another by drag and drop. Let me know if this resolves your issue. Thanks!

Hi, Unlike Face recognition, your media is analyzed for smart tags only when your machine is in idle state, that is when you are not actively working on it. This is to save your computer resources while you need them for other active tasks. You can leave your machine idle for some time, and then check if smart tags have been generated. Hi, I saw your screenshot and it does not give me much clarity of your scenario. So there no pins in the map visible in Unpinned view, so that you can click 'Get Location Name'? Are your sure, those images have GPS information? If no, then you would have to manually tag them. Images appear grouped by date in Unpinned Places view where you can add a location to a particular group or drag the entire group to a pin on map. You can change the size of the group by moving a slider at the top from Min to Max. You can also send one or more sample image to me if you feel it has GPS information that is not detected by the Organizer. Would be happy to look into the issue. Thanks!

Hi, This means you have moved your photos from outside of Organizer. Since they are no longer at the original location, they are missing files for Organizer and you need to reconnect to the new location. To filter out all missing files, go to Find->All Missing Files. This will filter all missing files. Now, to reconnect them double click a missing File, a autoscanner opens to find the missing files. Click on Browse, and a dialog box opens to reconnect missing files. Select the correct location of the file on the right hand side and click on 'Reconnect'.
