Hi mate, For this you will need nested and synced timelines. This will give you full control over how and when bits change. On top of that depending on the variation and how you want the actual change to happen you have various choices of set up. For example: 1. If you are happy for bits to just pop as coloured from grey you can have your coloured version overlaid over your grey version and masked with a reveal mask. Then gradually in a frame-by-frame manner draw over the individual bits adding to the mask layer to reveal colour until the whole character turns colourful. 2. If you want fade in of colour you need to set up several layers / versions of your body, i.e. yellow, pink, green. etc. and fade them in separately. To have control over timing you need your body container (Graphic symbol) to have as many frames as your whole animation. Then you run this internal timeline in sync with the external and you can apply changes to the body over time. Hi mate, I'm very sorry for what happened to you! The file is most likely corrupt and the only good thing that can come out of this situation is to learn to save as a different name every few hours and make nightly backups of your work on external drive(s). We usually hear stories about dead hard drives, but most people think it will never happen to them until it does. When you get over it, you will do it better and faster the next time. Go to the Properties Inspector and in the Label Name field type your notation starting with // Press ENTER. It will appear on the timeline 3. That 'tinting' in the old manual refers to the grey tint. Hi mate, It's nothing to do with the tween and everything to do with frame rate and how you build your movement. You can't have smooth movement at low frame rate and large amplitudes. There is just not enough visual information for this. If you need that kind of constant steady movement back and forth at low frame rate you can try to apply some motion blur or "dry brush" effect. If you only have to go from point A to point B I would suggest an antic and a settle with easing and small amplitudes, while skipping the middle part. Best NT ... View more

Hi mate, I'm really sorry for all the frustrations and back and forth. There is nothing wrong with your Flash. When you start your Premiere project, make sure you choose 24 fps time base everywhere; Go through all the settings and choose 24 fps. It seems that at the moment you are mapping 24 fps animation onto a 29.7 fps project. Obviously no surprise that the pictures will play faster and the audio will be longer. When exporting (rendering final video) you have to also choose 24 fps. But there is something good that will come out of this whole struggle: You will have some better understanding of video production You can't really produce animation without knowing video production and editing software. Is your audio on the main timeline and set to 'stream'? I have very little experience with Swivel and see it only as a kiddie option, so I can't swear that it always syncs well. But I have not experienced sync issues either. As I have stated multiple times already the only way that guarantees professional quality output is PNG-sequence + uncompressed WAV merged into a video editing application. Hi mate, Read the whole topic please. You render an image sequence - i.e. every frame of your caroon is exported as a static PNG file with a number at the end. Then in Premiere, which is a separate program you combine those with the exported audio and export a video file, usually MP4 or MOV, using the h.264 codec. Hi mate, In the context of character animation, you should attempt to create as much as possible inside Animate, ideally everything. Its vector drawing tools are faster and more intuitive than most. Painted (raster) backgrounds you need to import. The more you import, the more problems you will have with managing your files and animation. Characters should be created entirely in Animate. Hi mate, Try zooming in to 2000% and use the arrow keys to move the objects. Before that make sure all snapping is disabled. They are again shooting themselves in the foot. Not only CS6 and some of the older versions of Flash and Animate CC perform better and are preferred by many professional users, because of that, but not being able to access them will make trouble-shooting and bug-tracking much more difficult. I don't care much about the rest of the Adobe suite, but in times when Animate's reputation is so damaged and they are trying to regain popularity and trust with the animation industry, this is an absolutely suicidal act and terrible PR. The industry is conservative and is not only comprised of huge studios, but also individuals who freelance, making TV-commercials or work on TV-shows from home. A lot of money is at stake and deadlines have to always be matched. No sane professional updates his tools on a whim or when some company decides to release an update, because the consequences can be disastrous. Last two releases of Animate - 2018 and 2019 - have been the worst performing versions of Flash to date - crippled and laggy. They are not fit for production work, regardless of the hype about Advanced Layers, Parenting and so on. All these features were rushed out of the door too early and will probably need years to become production-ready. Hi mate, Most likely you have moved the Transformation Point (the little white circle that serves as centre of transformations) in your second key. To fix the tween double-click both Transformations points in both keys - left and right that define the tween - with the Q-tool. Points will snap back over the Reg point and tween will work as expected.
