David, Here I selected my Outline Text, Grouped. Save as a Graphic style. Ungroup your outline text. I then regrouped each “name”. On a Group level, I assigned my Gold Gradient Graphic Style. It retains the original gradient. K

David, Hi Here I used the Text Tool, set my type, then gave it a Fill color of None. Switch to the Selection Tool (Black arrow) In your Appearance Panel, Add a New Fill, Select your gradient swatch. OK, you want outline text. No problem It retains the same gradient you assigned. K

I took a screenshot so I could recreate those graphic handles. I did one, dup and modified to create the others. I drew out some Guides so I would know the perfect placement. For the shape, I used the Ellipse Tool and the Pencil tool, Strokes. It was a quickie slice and dice and join. You can do better. Gave it a large stroke weight. Finally, outline stroke. Now working with Fills. K

Andreas, Hi. I would use Object>Envelope as Monica suggested. Here are the steps I used. I created two wavy shapes similar to yours. Set your Type. Two area text frames. Here I am working with Live Text not outlined. I like making my meshes first. Select your top shape, Object>Create Gradient Mesh. I used 1x1 mesh. With the Gradient Mesh Tool, I added more columns. They will need to be adjusted so your characters won’t be wonkie. I did the same for the bottom wavy shape. Add more columns. Next select your live type and wavy mesh, Object>Envelope, Make with Top Object Since the text is live, you can edit your text. (Envelope>Edit Content) K

Text Tool, select your text and copy, switch to Text on Path tool, paste onto your curve path. Give your text a large point size like your original text. Bradley, Hi. Here I created a Pencil Art brush with Stretch Between Guilds as Monika suggested. I applied it to a W path. Hmm… Notice those bands are distorted and wonkie!!! Jason, hi. Ton is correct, that is the normal behavior when you have overlapping shapes. So to recreate your given example: (I random recolor as I work.) I created a rope pattern brush. I have a circle, with 4 open paths Effect >Trans. Expand Trans. 10 overlapping stroked circles. Edit: At that point, I ungrouped all strokes. Then regrouped by the individual stroke colors. So at the end, I had 4 Groups. Then Grouped all. Apply Pattern brush to strokes. Finally, All strokes same color. Perfectly intertwined. K

Endas, hi. A super simple way would be draw out your rectangle, give it a Stoke weight with Round Cap and Round Join. Then Object>Path>Outline. Now you have Fills. Same as your example all connected. K

Here are the screenshots how I recreated that info graphic. Everything is centered around that exterior red circle. Getting started Create your shape, shown in brown. Draw a circle, Shown in green so you can see. (Yours will have a Stroke color None) Center your shape within that green circle. Group the green circle and shape. Next: Effects>Transform. Give it an angle of 51.428 with 6 copies. (360/7=51.428) Expand Transform Next: Draw some stroked concentric circles Select all, Object>Live Paint. Recolor as you wish. Expand Live Paint. Pathfinders>Unite same colors. Group all your art elements Type: Draw two stroke concentric circles. Scissor cut. Type on Path. Paste your type on each line. Group your text, centered once again inside that green stroke circle Apply the same Transform on your text. Expand Transform. All text is still live. That’s it. K

민지, Hi. Jacob is correct. Use Object>Path>Offset Path. To recreate that poster in part, I first used the Pen Tool and drew low poly closed shapes. I gave the anchor points a radius of 5. Next, I used Object>Path>Offset Path. Various sizes, increased each time. Notice the overlapping strokes. I used Live Paint Strokes. Fill with None color the stokes I did not want. Expand Live Paint. Then Joined strokes. Recolor as you wish. At the end, I now have 34 closed shapes. Good luck with school! K
