You can use the Quick Selection Tool on the people (in a copy of the original layer of course).  Then you can create another layer (copy of the pic under the people layer) and Select All... then use the Blur preview to get the desired look. Do not go to far with it as if it is a low res image it might not look that great. ... View more

The great thing is you can choose which version of Illustrator you work with.  If you do not find the updates a match for your workflow, then you can always opt for a past version.  I know maybe that is less cool then what you want... but it is a solution. So far I have not had any problems with any of the software.  Or at least have not noticed any big changes to the tools I use.  Or I have not just seen it yet. Yep...  ACPs are knowledgeable users who are here to help.  While Staff are people who actually work for Adobe.  Which I think is kind of nice.  As ACPs really use the software like everyone else.  So it is really cool that they take their own time to answer questions or try to help problem solve.  Plus, if you ever call a customer hotline for any product like say Microsoft Office you will get some person who just answers questions and may or may not have experience using the software.  So I think having ACPs is a great benefit!  Advice from peers who have proven themselves in their fields. Hope that you can find a work around to the changes you dislike.  I completely get it and it woudl frustrate me too.  But like I said you can always work with an older version of your choice.  But you took the right step in voicing your opninion.  Companies like Adobe do listen to their users and they do make adjustments to applications at times depending on how many users want something or complain about something.  So any time you like or dislike something let it be known... as that is how the software will evolve.... that goes with most developers....  tell them... give them feedback....  Even in the gaming industry... giving postive and negative feed back helps the developers modfiy the game play.  ... It is always best to create logos in Illustrator as then they are scaleable. However.... if you really want to do this....  then duplicate the layer.  Then erase the background layer.  Then select the background (hoping it is a solid background) and then delete the background.  Next is to save it as a PNG like Silkrooster said. I have to agree. This was done with a good light set up in a studio. Varying the intensity of the lights will give you different effects.  If you go really bright then you will get an even higher contrast look. If you do have a color image that is high quality and high res.... you can play with it.  Trying out different effects to give it a cool look.  But I am not sure you can really capture this look perfectly in Photoshop alone.  Bu like I said you can play with Photoshop and come with a cool look of your own and that would be more special in my eyes. I say go for the Wacom Cintiq Companion 2 or Wacom MobileStudio Pro. Runs Windows 10... and great thing you can draw directly on the screen which will increase your workflow!!!! Avoid the new Microsoft Surface Studio.... as I have heard some big complaints. Drawing towards the outside is not good as it is not stable but wobbly.  This is what happens when you try to imitate Apple and put the lower device in the center.....silly mistake on their part.  Second... the dial slides down the screen.  Also a silly mistake in the design.  Great that Microsoft is thinking forward... but they jumped on production too soon. So if you have the cash get a Wacom product.  I run the whole entire Adobe suite and Microsoft Office on my Cintiq Companion 2.  Also I know people using ZBrush on it as well! ... View more

I am not sure you can create a PSD file of a site as usually there are programming parameters built into the site. What one can do is take screen captures on each section and then place them into a Photoshop document that has a long height. Then you could write notes.  Usually when I discuss ideas with our designers at the agency I do that.  Kind of create a guideline to what I want.  Then show examples of sites that are similar.  Usually that gets their brains buzzing and we can create something cool. It looks like you have done a good job capturing the fingerprint already. If you want to really resize it.  Then take the image of the fingerpint capture into Adobe Illustrator and use LIVE TRACE.... to turn the fingerprint into a vector graphic.  Then you can blow it up or shrink it to whatever size you like.  You can then always bring it into Photoshop as a Smart Object! ... I agree with Derek.... if the pic is low res, there is no way to make it high res.  Always work with high res images.  And if you take photos... try shooting them in RAW.  You can always size down when needed. In fact, I am now getting gallery show offers and some of my older images from years ago will not work as they were not saved as high res.  So to me it is always better to work on high res files as you may not know how they could be used in the future. ... This is interesting.  Wish you were talking about the Cintiq as I can give you a lot of advice on this. Are you bumping the Intuos with your hand? OR dropping your hand down while you move it?  Sometimes with the Cintiq I lower my hand bump into it causing a random line or something else to happen.  Thus I use a Smudge Glove sometimes to prevent these things. I think this will only take around in circles again. Since I have work permit for Germany... and since it is recommended to do my German taxes first.  Maybe is easier to sign up as a German.  Then pay my German taxes and then worry about the American side. Looks like some sort of filter. Maybe a FISHEYE effect like you see on cameras...... I suggest Selecting All then playing with the Filters. Play with Filter>Distort>Spherize You might need to use a couple of Filters to get the look you want.  But it might be worth a try just experimenting. Also Liquidfy could help maybe. I am using the new version on two computers.... a Wacom Cintiq and a Mac at the agency.  I have not experienced any lag. Thus, it could be your computer.  Check your settings. Not all older computers can run new software as good (this includes all software even Microsoft Office Updates for example). The great thing about the Creative Cloud is you do not have to use the newer version.  You can delete the newer version and use the older version.  This saves you until you are ready to get a new computer.  Which is cool if you think about it... Adobe is not forcing you to upgrade, they give you the opprotunity to continue using their products until you are ready to upgrade. But like I said this goes with any new software.  Even now I have some apps that will not run on my old Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.  Annoying I know.... but until it breaks down I do not plan on buying a new smart tablet.....  So it is cool that Adobe gives you the options to choose your version. ... I take Illustrator files into Photoshop all the time.  I do this because I need PNGs for sites like Redbubble and Society6. First I create a document in Photoshop matching the size I need.  I make sure it has a dpi of 300.  Then I copy the Illustrator image and Paste it in the Photoshop document.  I then am asked if I want it to be a Smart Object.  I say yes normally as I can alway change it. You can also import the image through your libraries.... just depends on how you want to do it. If you want to see what it looks like on a background that is not clear, then create separate layer for a background that is not clear (what ever color you want). Theoretically.... you can create another layeer and merge the vector image down onto that layer (making it a normal photoshop layer).  Then you can select all and then go into Image>Adjustments..... then play with the Brightness/Contrast or Color Balance.   Then you can make it darker or lighter.  This is a step that I do not need to do as I never have issues... but an idea for you to toy with.  Granted if you do this it will no longer be a vector. Sheena.... So I went to the Customer Care site.  That redirected me back to the forums. Went back to the Customer Care site and worked around to get to a live chat with Customer Care. Explained to the person the situation.... explained that I asked in the Forum. The person then tells me to go back to the forum to ask.  I shared the link, to this thread and he still tells me to go back to the forum.  It made me laugh a little. I then asked why he would send me back in a circle...  He said his team does not handle this issue.  I asked which team does....he could not answer. So who can I email and ask about this?  As there is no answer.  And I would assume there has to be.... as I can not be the only American living abroad that wants to contribute to Adoe stock who does not have an American address but still pays taxes.
