Once you finish editing your video you want to click Export and Share: 2. Then choose Quick Export 3. Then select the Browse button to bring up the directory, choose the folder to export your file to, click the Choose button, and finally click the Save button. Arthur I too use an iMac with Elements 19, and it's updated to the latest OS. I have not experienced the problems you describe; so it may be loading up PRE17 in the PRE19 editor. Try the following: 1. Create a new video of about 30 seconds. 2. Load it into PRE19 and add whatever media you usually use. (Do not use any templates left over from PRE17. 3. One thing that helps me determine how my spacing looks is to toggle in and out of the Edit mode. A. For moving on the screen, use the 'Arrow' icon. B. Going back and forth between edit and non-edit you can see where everything is. Add any other elements (text, graphics) you generally use, but keep it within the 20 second timespan. 4. Publish the video. 5. If everything works as expected, create another video of about 5 minutes. Repeat Steps 2-4. Do this in increments adding 5 minutes to each increment, until you get a crash. 6. Lyle, To edit out a piece of the video, you may find it easier to switch to the Expert Mode. 1. First find the video clip you want to cut from. Then click on it to select it. It turns a light blue. 2. Next, drag the current-time indicator bar (sometimes called a 'scrub bar') to the beginning of the portion you want to clip. 3. On the current-time indicator bar, you will see a split clip (or cut clip) icon indicated by scissors. Click on the cut clip icon, and you will see that the selected clip has been split at the point of the current time indicator bar. 4. Drag the current time indicator bar to the end of the portion you want to cut, and click on the cut clip icon again. Now you have a portion of the video cut on both ends. 5. Select just the part of the  video you want to remove, and press Ctrl + X (Command + X on a Mac) to cut out the unwanted portion. 6. Hi Rego121, Try the following: 1. Put all of your project assets in a single folder (directory) Call it 'Repair'. This includes videos and graphics and any other imported assets. 2. Open your project file. 3. Open your Project Assets window and double click the "broken" links. (A 'broken icon' appears in all of the cells in your Project Assets) 4. When you double-click each broken icon, a directory appears; open the Repair directory you stored all of your asset files in. Find the missing asset in your Repair directory and choose it. 5. Good morning Helmut! I use a wireless headset, and the microphone that comes with it automatically kicks in even though it sounds pretty bad compared to my built-in mic. So, whenever, I load PRE, I have to check my sound preferences to make sure that my mic and sound output (speakers or headset) are the right ones. Create a new Premiere Elements 2019 project named Prüfung.prel and save it in the Prüfung directory. 3. Close all files 4. If that's the case, I believe they may already have been matched to the YouTube format. Also, if the top one (higher on the timeline stack) is not transparent, the one underneath won't show up. When you work on a project, all files used in your project are relative ones. In other words, the files that you drag into Premiere Elements are not "loaded" into PRE, but instead pointers are used to point to where the file is stored. If you move a file from the pointer position, it will make the project look "broken." However, all that's happened is that either your PRE file or one or more of the project files has been moved. In planning a project I try to first put all of the project file and the PRE file in the same folder and be sure when I first save the PRE file, it is saved in that folder; not the default one that may be deep within the file structure. FCBCharly, I have the same version of PRE on my MacBook Pro with the same OS as yours. The problem with animated text is that while it works fine once added to a video, adding animated text and text in general to PRE, whether you have a Mac or Windows (...or a Jupiter Ace...), is awkward to work with. (Working with still text isn't much easier.) What I've found to work best is to: 1) plan ahead, 2) get all of your videos and other assets in the Project Assets window before putting them on the Timeline, 3) Frequently save and render, and 4) do one step at a time. Added features like Pan/Zoom will work fine as well, but you need to add those features while not jumping back and forth with other additions and changes. One partial solution is to select your video and then use FX-> Effects - > Keying -> Four-Point Garbage Matte and change the view area to the shape you want. Hey Marin, I use High Sierra 10.13.6 and what I've found that helps is to slow down and take it a step at a time. As you develop, test and save (more than the auto-save) and shut down other apps.  Here's what I'd suggest to get to the bottom of the problem: 1. close everything and re-start your Mac. 2. Create a new PRE project 3. Put together a minimum video for zooming...a minute-video is more than enough. 4. Drag the video to the Project Assets box. 5. Drag the video from the Project Assets box to the timeline. 6. Apply the Zoom effect (and only the Zoom effect). 7. Save the project. 8. Export the project to the Desktop and test it. 9. Close PRE (if you get the spinning pizza, just Force Quit PRE) ... this has been a problem but not one that has affected my videos. 10. Test the exported video file. If your video works as expected with the Zoom; try the Pan in a separate test, and then start putting them together. Slowly with lots of saving and rendering. Kevk63, As Steve noted, "text boxes" are called titles, and I understand your dilemma. Use a text box that doesn't scroll -- in the Fix menu Choose the Title icon -> Titles -> Classic -> General -> Default text. Drag the text to the layer above your video. (Tip: place the text two video layers above your video; then you'll be able to put a solid matte underneath it.) You will see a giant Add Text. In the Adjustments change the font size from 225 to the size you want. (I found that 48 worked well.) Drag the corners to get the size of the "text box" you want, and then stretch the text on the video layer to the size that matches the part of the video you want to have the text over. ... View more

Whenever I get a freeze, I turn off all of my other programs, including the ones that prepared graphics, video or audio for the movie. (Once prepared, you don't need them anymore.) Then I turn off my computer. (Re-start would probably work as well, but I'm paranoid there's something that sneaks back in on a re-start...). Neutralize all your auto-start programs. Turn the computer back on, and only launch Premier Elements and give it another try. If that works, it's either because memory got over-loaded or a program running in the background got in the way.
