You must only use the language you specified when keywording. If using English, then only use English keywords. The system has a translator that works automatically. Don't add multiple languages. Thanks, Mat Hayward

Make sure in addition to your metadata, that your property release specifically calls out the fact the person is fictional. In the information field, write "fictional person created with generative AI software" or something to that effect. Thanks, Mat Hayward

I would encourage you to visit our Artist Hub to get an idea of the type of content that is selling. You need to continuously update your style and themes to meet the needs of customers where they are today. What worked well in stock 10 years ago is not necessarily what is going to work well today. You have a lot of portraits on isolated backrounds which is OK, but I would like to see more natural lifestyle content featuring the diverse cast of models you are working with. Yes, you need to upload as in illustration and use the keywords and title guidelines listed in the FAQ and generative AI submission guidelines. In additon to these requirements, you should be making sure to only submit the best of the batch. This file should not be approved based on the unnatural looking hand seen on the right of the frame. Pay attention to details such as the fact the camera screen is displaying something different from what is in front of the camera. In addition to the submission guidelines specific to generative AI, the same quality guidelines that are applied to all asset types apply to generative AI as well. Yes, Abambo is correct. This is an argument that will not go anywhere. The rejection reasons are designed to be a general indication of the issue, but are not and will not be specific and customized toward individual files. It's simply not scalable. The average wait for moderation would be around 6 months to a year with 5 second delays on each rejected asset.

For AI generated images containing elements that can be perceived to be a recognizable person, you must submit a MODEL RELEASE if the prompt, either written or visual is based on a real person. If however, such as the scenario you described, the "recognizable person" is completely fictional, then you must submit a PROPERTY RELEASE. I can't speak to the requirements of other agencies so this is a general response. If you are using the Adobe Sign release generated in the contributor portal, then you will likely find challenges having it approved outside of Adobe Stock. If, you are using a hand signed release, then most are somewhat universal. Personally, I use an app called Easy Release for the job and it works quite well. Good luck, Mat Hayward

Hi everyone, I know when sharing your work looking for feedback as to why an image was rejected it can be a bit on the cumbersome side to upload an image. It's no picnic for the people trying to view the uploaded files either. I want to encourage you to try the Share for review (Beta) option in Photoshop. I have been playing around with it and have to say, I think it is a really good option to use when sharing content for feedback. My friend Terry White made an excellent video that thoroughly explains how it works. You can check out HERE. My assumption is the moderator made a mistake. It doesn't look like a standard, backyard image of the stars so they most likely wanted to verify it was an image that you took yourself and didn't pull from a site or agency in a non-compliant manner. What is the file number? I checked your account and see a lot of files with similar titles and keywords that have been approved, and none that were rejected for issues with metadata. "Nordic" should not be triggering any rejections as far as I know. Thanks, Mat Hayward

The words in the title are searchable. However, it is important to keep in mind that if you list words in both the title AND the top 10 keywords, the system gives them an added boost. If a word is important to include in the title, be sure to also list it as a keyword. That way, if there are any issues with translation from the title, the keyword will still apply. You are covered both ways. You are correct, if you indicate in the system you are keywording in French, you must list all your keywords in French. Don't mix and match. That said, if you are comfortable writing in English, I recommend adding all of your metadata in English. It's not a deal breaker, just a recommended best practice. If you are uncertain of your English skills, stay with the language you are most comfortable with. Thanks, Mat Hayward

In the past, when I've seen similar reports, it has always been the result of multiple accounts having been created. It will be helpful to share the images in question in future posts as we need to see what you are referencing to give you any sort of feedback. Lucky for me, I have access to check and have done so. Your two most recent rejections were appropriate in my opinion. One was completely abstract with motion blue. I get the artistic approach you were going for, but it doesn't work with this image in my opinion, at least not for commercial stock sales. You need to ask yourself who would buy that image and what would they use it for? The other file of the misty morning could have gone either way. I could see it being approved, but I can understand the refusal too. It's "okay" but with common subjects such as trees near a pond, "okay" isn't good enough. The level of competition you are up against is too vast. For an image like this, there must be a solid "WOW!" factor to get approved and most importantly to be seen and sold by customers. We are now accepting PNG files with transparent backgrounds from contributors. These file types are not yet available for download from customers while we are building out the collection. The files you submit as PNG will be put online as JPG files with a white background until the switch is flipped and the feature goes live. These PNG images with transparent backgrounds will be available to license as both JPG or PNG by customers. We are still a month or two out from going live with the PNG downloads. Generally, the videos you submit to Adobe Stock should not have any audio. I checked the rejected clip #517421079 and found you left the audio on the clip. There were many recognizable voices in the audio. You would need to submit a model release for each person whose voice can be heard. The clip would still be likely rejected as the audio is an unnecessary distraction. I recommend you remove the audio and resubmit. Good luck, Mat Hayward

As I promised yesterday in the other thread, the nomination process for photos to be considered for the Free collection is now up and running. Photos that are approved after the nomination window closes on June 22 will generate a $5 payment for each, for a non-exclusive, one-year commitment. Hi Everyone, Heads up! I find it hard to believe that it's been almost a year since the nomination process began for the Adobe Stock Free collection. Starting tomorrow, June 7 some of you will have the opportunity to re-nominate photos that are currently in the Free collection, or to nominate new photos for consideration. The window to nominate your photos will be open until June 22. If you do want to nominate photos for consideration, I recommend you sign into the contributor portal tomorrow to take care of this. As before, we will be paying 5 credits for each photo approved for the Free Collection after the nomination window is closed. Photos that are approved will be in the Free collection for 1 year with a non-exclusive commitment. There was a slight deviation to the agreement that you will see tomorrow. In 2023, when the nomination process starts up again, Adobe will have the right to nominate the assets that are already in the Free collection for 2022 for consideration in 2023. This process will repeat each year. You will, of course have the option to opt them out if you prefer. Adobe is regularly evaluating what content is offered in each market based on customer demand.  As we expand into new countries, we are building collections, starting with a selection of high quality images from our top sellers. If you are logged into the Contributor Portal in a region where the Adobe Stock collection is offered, you may not see all of your content in your portfolio. In order to see your complete portfolio you can change the region (in the footer on the far left). The US site is likely what you were used to see. As an effort to bring Adobe’s tools and services to anyone who would want to use them worldwide, Adobe is expanding its services into new countries throughout the world. One of Adobe’s core principles is to support diversity, and an important aspect of diversity is respecting the sensitivities of different cultures.
