@Nayan_Kankariya Seriously? Your workaround is to use the command line tool? While I have had to resort to using that and the GitHub Desktop app (which is a much better "workaround" than command line), it is amazing to me that this would be the temporary solution. Most people using Git with Dreamweaver are doing so to make our lives easier. Not to introduce another piece of software.

For as dumb as your solution sounds 🤣, in my using it since you posted this I've not had things crash when working with the Git Respository. Thanks for sharing! Hopefully at some point Adobe will fix for real, but I'm not sure I will ever notice now.

I am the admin and I did and Adobe Tech Support was useless. They even went as far as telling me that they needed to close my ticket because it was on their bug list and at some point it would be fixed through updates in the future. I just chatted with them again today and got the same answer.

It's a Business plan, so I guess Enterprise (i.e. it's not an individual plan). Does that matter? Apparently there is a bug logged on the issue and it will be fixed in the updates, but it's insane that it still hasn't been addressed.

This issue is still going on and it's happening with more regularity now. It's beyond just being annoying...

Not a lot new to report, but I spent almost two hours on Thursday with a tech while they tried to make it happen (which it happened more than I thought it was going to). They took notes and all sorts of log files and said someone would contact me from a higher level support. As I was waiting for them to work with the machine, one thing I realized was the sites that I have more trouble than not with are pretty large. Smaller sites I almost never (or never) have this issue with. I am wondering if it has something to do with the size of the site and the number or size of objects or files or total commits. I'm totally just guessing here, but thought I would throw it out there.

Did you ever get a response or a solution to this? I'm having this happen on multiple machines, too.

As stated, it's encoded as ASCII. The character is either typed from the keyboard or copy and pasted. I've replicated from both PCs and Macs and various different text editors all with the same issue. It's placed in InDesign with the menu command to import text. I've also attempted to do so with drag and drop to the same (lack of) success. @srishtib8795206 Nothing about the above comment is helpful as far as I can tell because it's just asking more questions, most of which has been previously mentioned in my original post.

As part of our process, our staff writes in Open Office, tag stories and save as text for importing into InDesign (using the format <ASCII-WIN>. When the writers include 'special characters' (such as é), it does not come into InDesign (Mac) properly. Apparently this has been an issue for a long time but I wasn't aware of it. I've search the Adobe forums but have yet to be able to come up with an answer. Here's an example of what is being saved and then imported: <pstyle:calendartext><CharStyle:inlinebold>'Life is a Dream'<CharStyle:> Internationally celebrated director Dominique Serrand adapts Pedro Calderón de la Barca's 1635 drama "Life is a Dream," considered one of the greatest plays of the Spanish Golden age. Serrand reimagines this tale where truths are mutable, identities uncertain and happy endings are never guaranteed. March 1-3; 8 p.m. $5 students, $10 faculty/staff/seniors, $15 general. Roble Studio Theater, 375 Santa Teresa, Stanford. taps.stanford.edu Note the ó in the name. When it is placed in InDesign, it turns to this: Any ideas on how to make this work for them? Right now the designers are having to search and replace for these characters, which is not very streamline. I thought about just writing a script for them to run, but again, didn't think that was the best solution. Thanks in advance.

And, as one more piece of info, for the other two, there is a place to override the credentials. For Fetch, there is not.

Seems to be just the Fetch. The others appear to work as they should.

Normal terminal. I wasn't aware of one in Dreamweaver, actually. My Dreamweaver is set up the same way. It actually looks like it's symlink'd to the same location. What I keep going back to is the actual error about credential-osxkeychain not being a git command...

That allowed me to edit the config and I removed the line after the credential. Now a slightly new error: I am able to do the fetch --all via command line and it works. git fetch --all Fetching gittest The first time I did it, it asked me if I wanted to give it access to the keychain, which I did, but same (above) error in Dreamweaver.

Thanks. I had seen that option and had entered it in, but went back and confirmed the username and password entered was correct nonetheless (even though that's not the error). When I click on the Fetch All icon, I still get this message:

Which original git config did you rename? The one for DW or your old git config. I was hoping maybe someone from Adobe would chime in on this. I can't imagine I'm the only one having this issue.

I'm on a Mac and just upgraded to 2017.5. The local copies of my site are in a GitHub folder which I've been managing with GitHub Desktop. I was able to make a push through Dreamweaver, but had to enter my username/password on the push screen, which is fine for the first time, but that's going to get really old if it doesn't remember it (which it doesn't appear it does). When I made a pull, I got this credential-osxkeychain error. I'm thinking there is something jacked up since I've been using Git on my machine for some time, just not through Dreamweaver. I have two sites that have the same issue (and they are the only ones I use with Git). Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!

Did you find a solution to this? I'm not thrilled about having to uninstall everything and reinstall, which seems to always be Adobe's answer to these sorts of things.
