There are several things that could be causing this and it seems you may have ruled them out. Is your network fast or might be you be working on a slow wifi? IF all is good with your computer, I would look at Acrobat's print dialog box. Click the "Advanced" button. Then there is an option to "Print as Image". If that is checked, sometimes it can take a long time if your printer has a slower processor. If it is unchecked, you might have a lot of images and/or a tremendous amount of vectors with transparency effects applied. Does your CPU usage numbers max out when print? If so, this might be your computer trying to rasterize all of the effects just to get it to the printer.

I use pitstop plugin and have it set up where I have 2 button that will rotate either right or left increments of .1 degrees. I do this because our production machines use a Fiery but the Fiery RIP doesn't allow the correct of the machines duplex was is roated by a couple tenths of a degree. Technically the other responses are correct - it is actually the contents that get rotated.

The reason perfect binding doesn't have an option is because it's straight normal order. Saddle Stitching requires a different ordering - 4 page signatures 4 1 2 3 pattern and then based upon pages in increments of 4; (other signatures sizes would not be available in Acrobat). If you need different patterns, you would need a plugin like Quite Imposing +5

There are a couple of reasons for this. If they are using Acrobat DC be sure they have their color seperation box to have "overprint preview" turned on. - and you too. This gives a more accurate representation of what it would like in print. If you are not printing and this is for something else such as the web - make sure you are designing and exporting in the correct color space with the correct profiles. My belief is we are still operating in 2000 when it comes to color profiles. The next thing to check is your client actually using Acrobat or Adobe Reader or are they using a web browser, Preview or another viewer? If they are using another viewer at all have them try Adobe's to see if it's there. My guess is that is the culprit. There are pluses and minuses to different viewers (Acrobat's is the 200" limit) but Acrobat is the best with add-on plugins and viewing color.

Have you confirmed that the page size that Acrobat thinks it is printing to is the size you are actually printing to (page setup button in print dialog box)? This would easily cause that problem.

With what you have there is probably one way to do this. Print your black and white pages seperatly and then fold and staple yourself with the cover you printed in color. The better way to do this is to use the PitStop acrobat plugin. Quite used to make a good plugin called Quite a box of tricks and it was the easiest but they have discontinued this. Acrobat's color conversion, IMO, doesn't work as you would expect and only applies profiles.

It would probably be much easier to edit the PDF file in the original program and file rather than Acrobat.

I've never been able to get Acrobat's color conversion to work correctly. Use something like Pitstop.

You are right! It's awful. I'm going to try and see where to change it back. I don't seem to have the Hamburger menu that Thom Parker shows in his screenshot.

This is a good task for the Quite Imposing Plugin. I don't know that anything else in Acrobat can do this.

Don't know. We're still waiting for full PDF 1.6 support where it supports officially larger than 200" documents.

That would be one option. You can bring them into Acrobat or you can place them in Indesign for easier placement and then export to PDF.

I recommend vector too, but 1 bit tiffs are not huge and will not make the file size large. They are very small in size with high resolution. Apparently you don't use them. They are also easy to work with in Indesign or Illustrator. Converting from JPG to vector in Illustrator or any other brings about another set of challenges if you are not used to them.

Yes. convert to 1 bit tiff in Photoshop. They will be much smaller and look better because they won't have "fuzzy" edges. file sizes should be very small.

Distiller does not create PS files. Distiller does not work with indesign files. Distiller is used specifically to take postscript files and convert them to PDF files.

I would guess that Acrobat has not been tested or certified for the beta OS. Since the Mac print engine of CUPS has changed a bit, that might be why..

If it weren't for Acrobat I wouldn't have an Adobe subscription anymore. There are better options out there but not in the space of Acrobat.

Acrobat doesn't use margins. The print margins is only showing what the print driver is programmed for it's maximum print area. Acrobat is not for creating docments. Use programs like Word, Indesign or Affinity, and then export to PDF.

This is strictly an Adobe problem. Many years ago (2006?) the PDF standards increased from the 200" limitation, but Adobe has never updated any of their software like Corel or Affinity (which are both unlimited as far as I can tell). It is the single most frustrating thing with the Adobe suite. I've heard rumors that Adobe is finally going to remove the limitation, but who knows when.

The first thing i would try is resetting preferences: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082/redirect_from_archived_page/true If that doesn't work then Uninstall and reinstall. If that doesn't work I would try creating another user on the Mac and see what it does to the file.

Where is the output preview window to see the settings? Do the same PDF's that don't work on this computer work on another with Acrobat? Have you tried what Photoshop or Affinity will do with viewing the seperations?

I don't give much credence to the color conversion in Acrobat. There is usually problems. PitStop will do much better, or tell the customer to do it in their file creation program.
