It is a bug that appeared long time ago. I remember the times when you could move shapes smoothly. But now no one pays attention to it. But you can use some trick to make it little bit smoother. You can use X: Y: W: H: names of fields in the top bar. These names work like sliders when you place cursor over them, and you can hold Ctrl while tweacking them.

Photoshop 23.0.0. (also 22.0.0) Photoshop 21.0.0 does not have this problem (provided by support) Mac Os 11.6.1 In Preferences - gridline every 1px, subdivisions: 1. Create for example 64x64 doc. Then turn Snap on, and Snap To Grid must be checked in View panel. Then zoom to 6400% (this is the key). Then draw some pixel perfect square shape with Rectangle tool snapping to pixels, for example 20x20px. After that Free Transform (Cmd+T) and try to add exactly 1 or 2 pixels, to make it 21 xp wide. And now it snaps to 20,4 21,4 22,3 and not to integer numbers. So i can not make it pixel perfect anymore.

Yes, sure you can, and you can do this in many ways, but it is question of time and many years habit. Now i need to forget about Cmd +/- and use Space+Cmd instead (btw, usually on mac Cmd+Space - change language). I just think it is wrong to make users change their habits. Because many of them do not change adobe software only because of habits.

It is weird and waste of time to change tool to direct selection and back just to zoom in.

Omg, awful feature. I need to forget about cmd +/- shortcuts. For example, if you have large rectangle, and want to zoom in to it's corner, you can't, because it always jumps to it's center. Adobe, please make it optional.
