In case if you are not getting the crash dialog to submit the report, please check at the path "/Users/<username>/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports" if there is any crash log generated.. The additional XMP file you observe is created when changing or applying metadata to any JPG/JPEG file containing Content Credentials. This behavior change was recently introduced due to Content Credentials support in Camera Raw release (version 16.3). We're actively working to investigate this issue and will keep you posted on updates around this.

Hi Gordon,
Thank you for sharing the file. The shared video file is in the HEVC codec, which is not yet supported in Bridge. This is why you are unable to view the preview in Bridge.
We have this feature request in our engineering pipeline.

Please check the "Labels and Ratings" configuration on both of your systems.
You can check the same unders Preferences (command + K) -> Labels and Ratings -> Label options.
White label issue should get resolved once you make this configuration same on both of your machines.

For reviewing multiple selected images, you can use the review mode in Adobe Bridge. In this mode, you can drop files you do not want to keep selected by using the down arrow key.
In full screen mode, file selection is not maintained and this is the intended behavior for full-screen mode.
Could you please confirm which version of Bridge was working for you as desired?
