I'm new to photoshop. All I was trying to do was make a solid colour shape (a rectangle) and apply a gradient to it. This is, apparently, extremely complicated (nothing is ever easy or intuitive in Photoshop, is it?) I would be most grateful for any instructions - or pointing in the direction of a tutorial (preferably a short one) Thank you so much

This doesn't happen if the program monitor panel is open in its own window, btw. Bug or feature? I'm not experienced enough to know the difference...

Hi there, I'm working through the tutorials, trying to learn Premiere Pro. Whenever I drag the playhead in this view (I don't know what anything is called yet), the window just immediately changes to the program monitor panel. I can drag the playhead from within there, but that doesn't show me where I am in relation to my sequence. Images attached for demonstration. I can overcome the issue by closing the program monitor panel, but it re-opens as soon as I preview the sequence. This can't be right - can someone help me out? Thanks so much.
