Thank you for your response. When you place embedded images automatically comes in as a Smart Object, and the image it seems to be fixed in the center of the background image, it doesn't move, and doesn't relocate even after a return is made, and it loses the transform handles. I even went further and rasterized the image to remove the smart object and I do Command-T the image doesn't budge.

The transform tool doesn't seem to work when I place-embedded an image (JPG or PNG), even after rasterizing the image; it is just stuck in the center of the page, and it doesn't move at all. What is going on with a perfectly functional tool in the latest version of Photoshop?

It's been a long trip using Adobe products, and I'm still dumbfounded to see that we're still unable to embed Edge animations into InDesign EPUB in 2023! I know 2023 is just starting, but both programs have been around for a while! The last we were able to bring an AOM file into InDesign was when DPS Folios were around, what happened to that technology? I know (it runs under an enterprise license only) Also, Daniel from Team Tumult has a way around to embed the OAM by unzipping the ePub and manually entering the path to the file, but just reading the know how, makes me feel like start smoking again Chesterfields, no filter. Can anyone help me? Does anyone still use this forum? Because all the posts are very old. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to solve OAM files not showing in iPads, iPhones using iBooks App. And neither using Adobe Digital Editions to test animations when exported from InDesign?

That is what the guy wants, images that you click and view in the e-Book, are you reading his question? You better practice with the Object State panel and get creative Bob, you can modify the multistate to serve other purposes as well, you just have to be creative.

My apologies for the confusion, English is not my first language. The Object States panel on InDesign will give you the option for example, to roll over a thumbnail and trigger a larger size image to appear somewhere else in the page, hence, show and hide. You can trigger the commands such as onClick, onRollover etc. I think the Object States would do much better than buttons. Does that make sense?

Have you tried using the Object State Panel? That panel will give you the rollover show/hide action you're looking for. The download option is different, because you'll need to be connected to a database / server to download the PDF. I'm not sure if the eBook can store downloadable PDfs from within.

I created a simple animation on Animate and published the file including the OAM file. Place the OAM in my InDesign document, I said, place it because the Media Panel does not recognize the OAM when trying to bring it in through the panel. Then exported as a fixed layout ePub, I can see the animation playing in my iBook App on my computer station, however it doesn't show anything but a blank page once I try to preview on my iPhone or iPad. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Does anyone have an easy solution to embed HTML5 Animate animations into an InDesign fixed layout eBook within the programs, I know is quite possible to do it writing in directly using a code editor, including the JS-script, and images, but that would require a higher level of expertise on writing code, using probably Sigil or something similar to get into the compressed file. Any ideas?

I was trying to figure out if InDesign DPS Folios are still in use somewhere in the Adobe CC? I Googled and there was an article from 2019 that says it is found under the Window menu... Not only that, but I remember they took it out, and it was marketed as a stand-alone tool since then it has just fade away.

We used to be able to get the Photoshop or any other App Manual. What happened why we're unable to get the PDF Manual anymore?

Bebel and Emboss is not working on Photoshop 2021. It doesn't do anything. Does any one else has that problem?

Like most people who are teaching remotely, there are always challenges adjusting to the new reality and also the dreaded Adobe upgrades such as the latest version InDesign 2021. I'm teaching a class about text and columns properties and at some point, I was to show spanning a title across multiple columns. To my surprise, that feature is nowhere to be found under the Properties' Panel > Paragraphs' section properties, there are no flyout menus in panels, I went and opened the Paragraphs from the Window Menu and there is no span feature there either. I'm starting to feel uncomfortable the awkward silence while I trying to find the span feature. I ended not finding the feature, so I had to promise I will have an answer for the next class. Although, I've been teaching InDesign since 2005 and certified with Adobe to teach it in 2014. I can't help it to feel terrible in front of other adult students they're expecting to have all answers. Not only that it was removed from the Properties Panel and from the Widow > Paragraph but it was hidden under the flyout menu of the paragraph's panel. After so many years I'm not surprised by the level of ineptitude of the developers anymore. Same with the Wrap Around Object features, I wrapped text around an odd shape object, where are the contour options to select the Alpha channel on a PNG? There are none available on the Properties Panel. Again, that feature is found under the Window Menu > Wrap around Panel > Contour options. So, what's the purpose does it serves to display the wrap tools on the new Properties' Panel still incomplete? What was the point of the new interface if you still have to access features from the Window-menu, when will Adobe understand that moving things around doesn’t improve the program? Improving the user experience by concentrating features into a single unit in a more intuitive way does. Please see attached JPGs
