So you did turn off the GPU processing / compositing thing? This was a while back now, but I belive that's what I did and it worked.

Yes, the jpeg is the same size and saved with the sRGB checked on. Yes, viewing the jpeg and PSB in Photoshop - but even in preview the jpeg is washed out, more orange than red. The image does have noise but all of these pieces of art do. I will note there is sky in the uppear left corner that remains pretty close to the layered version, it's the rest of the image that shifts. Note - having a retoucher look at it as well, if he has an answer I'll make sure to post it here.

This is a question I see out there on differnet posts, but my problem is with a single psd file. When I save the file it shifts from a red tone to an orange tone - but only this file. All other files hold their original, layered color. (Apologies, I can't show the before/after here, the art is still in a comping phase.) Color settings are the same for all - sRBG etc.

I think I understand. This line, Editorial use must not be misleading or deceptive, doesn't apply to the general editorial use only status. But I'm noticing that the Filters area to the left doesn't always include the Usage Rights selection... When it appears I click Commercial Use, but in other cases, as mentioned, some of these selections don't appear... I suppose what I'm asking is if I click on an image I've dropped in my Libraries, it should tell me, like in Shutterstock, whether it's editorial or commercial? (Shutterstock has an alert that pops up when you try to download an editorial image, you must click off on that.)

Same issue here, but with brush tool, painting etc. Preferences -> Performance -> (GPU) Advanced Settings ... -> GPU Compositing - I disabled the GPU and it seems to work. Do I leave that off or is there a fix down the road? Some people are mentioning: graphic card drivers.Graphics Prosessor Settings upgrades? I don't know where that occurs? thx

I'm knew new to using Adobe Stock, usually use Getty. I'd like to re-name one of those folders under My Libraries, under which I see "My Library", "Your Library" and a few more like that. What I want to do is change one of those or create a new folder (not sure it's called a folder as opposed to Library) to a job name, i.e. "Matrix 5 images" Then I'll share that folder/library with the client and they'll get us the stock.
This is what I do when using Getty, not sure it's the same, may be apples to oranges?
Thanks!

Thanks Conrad, I think people are getting stuck on the idea that Adobe has some influence or control over foundries, I'm not saying that, and yes, the solutions are not straightforward, but when you think of this change and the number of designers, their customers, it has affected, to respond to Kevin, I'd think they would lay out detailed and varied options. Again, I just haven't seen any input other than the community scrambling. Going through all our fonts would be rather epic, thousands actually. As to FontBook, that was just to illustrate the problem, generally we hunt faces the same as most - though on occasion I personally will pick it up and reference a face. Particularly like the 'faces that are similar' description. Actually FontExplorer still exists, it is both cloud and downloadable, it just activates fonts that can't be used anymore, lol. Onward.

Thanks Kevin, not sure where you got the impression I thought Photoshop was a font managment program - or any program in the Adobe suite manages fonts. Again, what I'm saying is they, Adobe, warned and then, per the warning, stopped supporting these fonts, but didn't specifically map out what their users should do to remedy this. As far as managing our fonts, we use FontExplorer, though that's pretty much useless at this point. One designer struggling with this wrote me: "A note on fonts: you can convert existing type1 and Postscript fonts to Opentype with this Program: Transtype by Fontlab: https://www.fontlab.com/font-converter/transtype/ You have to pay for it of course. But I warn you, this is a tedious and endlessly long process. Adobe really left us in the wind." Dawned on me, so all the FontBooks we have laying around the office, you'd find a face you like then you'd have to locate the original license and go get it from the foundary... again? I sound like I'm complaining, which I am, and I wouldn't if it weren't for so many other designers complaining about the same thing.

I think the point I'm trying to make - and if someone knows where I'm missing this, great - is that yes, they warned us but seemingly made no effort or recommendation in regard to deal with it. Telling us it's coming, and seeing the warnings in the different apps is one thing, giving no real guidance as to dealing with it is another - again, unless I missed an fix. And I would say, I'm not opposed to upgrades in systems or applications and, yes, spending money to move into the future, I've done that, but there seems no options like this at all - unless you're talking about a 3rd party app that goes through all your fonts one by one. To be clear, I'm not holding on to the past - had no problem other than a learning curve when Quark went away - but at least there was InDesign which did the same thing. Offering fonts that 'resemble' old standards is not a realistic option. If they offered a way to "get up to date" with existing fonts, I'd be all in, obviously. I'm not being lazy, just finding no clear answers.

Right, again, just wish there was a solve that was rather immediate. Scrolling through the video, thank you for that, but knowing the 'why' and most of the suggestions remain the same as to possible options isn't helping 😞 As one designer I know said when I asked, "Fonts!? It's a total mess, I don't know anyone celebrating at this moment!" Hunting a tech to help us out now.

I wish I had time, loosing work as I type due to all this. No, don't have time to go through all the founderies, locate old licenses to see if I can get old fonts running again. Don't see a video. Just feels like there's an issue of money to be made (by Adobe) in all this.... It would be amazing if the fix was just, "Here, go to Adobe Fonts, nearly all of your old fonts are there - or type in a face and you'll get a near duplicate - and just turn it on!"

I've mentioned this before, seems so many other designers are struggling with this, but the type faces that are no longer supported - all the fonts we used now unable to work - and left with looking through a few pages of what Adobe Fonts offer, and not the same faces... this has actually started causing trouble for me/clients. I was told about an application, one time purchase, that you painstakingly go through all your old fonts and fix for use in today's PS etc. That sounds fun. Anyhow, just complaining as at one point I was able to bang out title treatments quick and now I'm pretty much lost, feels like the 80s. Will be calling in a tech to help figure it out. Bummer.

I'm running PS 24.1.1 - I use Font Explorer X Pro. Ventura 13.0.1 When you say included, does that mean you go to the chainlink and you can find it there? Last time I asked someone from Adobe passed a link along to got to fontbook or something where you could get the entire face for nearly $2500. Right now it's still loading in Illustrator 2023 - with a warning - but it works. I make it into a smart object and drag it across. LOL, it feels like I'm work in a type setting shop from the 80s!

So I've asked this before, this whole 'fonts are no longer supported' thing - ironically they still are in some adobe apps, partially in others. Anyhow, I just want to get Helvetica Neue back. I probalby bought it and literally hundreds of other fonts that no longer work years back. But for now, I'll just try and get Helvetica back, sadly my clients will have to deal with the loss of an endless number of cool faces. Where do you go to get and install it? Need it for PS and InDesign. (lol, it still works in Illustrator)

So when I go into the "Adobe Fonts (web) Thousands of fonts to explore and use in any application" and type in something obvious, Helvetica, is there no version Adobe has that can replace the existing that are no longer supported? InDesign, (not with all files even though they have unsupported fonts in them), gives a warning but the fonts still work. I'm so confused by this stuff - and the idea of going back and licensing thousands of fonts seems crazy.

I'm assuming this face is not part of Adobe and this 'change' that is coming in 2023 - why is this happening again!? - is just going to invalidate the tens of thousands of faces I have. Most design shops, art directors etc, and just going into this blind and waiting to see what will happen to all their fonts and, I guess, we all just scramble to find something else. Anyhow, does anybody know if Trade Gothic LH Bold Extended is a face we can have or do we need to go buy it... again? thx
